Position Overview:
The Procurement Co-op will support Insulet's category managers and specialists in the Direct Material Procurement Group. The candidate will work with cross functional teams from Supply Chain, Supplier Management, R&D, Quality and Manufacturing, as well as our suppliers.
In this position you will have the opportunity to experience international business and manufacturing processes by interfacing with Insulet suppliers and contract manufactures globally.

**Career Opportunity:**

We are actively looking to fill several six-month co-op positions within our Procurement organization. Located in either our Richmond, VA or Atlanta, GA corporate office; you will work with various functions within Procurement and will be a member of a Procurement team. This position is a strategic sourcing role participating in sourcing projects and ad hoc analytics in support of the category management function. To be successful, you need to be motivated, smart, and focused. As a co-op within our program, you can expect to gain experience within the areas of Problem Solving, Stakeholder Engagement, Supplier Relationship Management, Negotiating, Data Analysis, Business Acumen, and Communication.

**What you need to succeed:**

· Work as a member of the Procurement team by conducting analyses on spend data, contract histories, and analyzing data for bidding and sourcing initiatives

· Design and assist with RF(x) templates and events, utilizing an e-sourcing tool and coordinate the communication and supplier responses

· Data mining and cleansing

· Build relationships with category managers and facilitate frequent communication related to sourcing initiatives, data analysis and implementation

· Provide a critical level of support on general and special projects, financial analyses, problem resolution and other business/ analysis related needs that affect Procurement

· Ability to read proposed contract terms and extract information

· Clearly articulate their understanding of each project and results of analysis to a variety of business leaders and decision makers

The Procurement Operations Manager will be responsible for the governance, creating, implementing and managing procurement processes, policy, metrics and operations. He/she will work on continued spend analysis and tracking, establishing and driving KPIs, and ensuring Veeam procurement is aware of/following/setting latest trends. This role work with all procurement related technology suppliers, such as Coupa, to provide our team with the best possible systems.
