Manager, Quality Engineer Careers

A manager, quality engineer ensures that a company's products and processes meet established quality standards by identifying shortfalls, developing corrective measures, and implementing quality control systems. They work with managers and supervisors to implement quality measures.

Some of the functions that they perform include developing and implementing quality standards, developing and implementing quality control systems, monitoring and analyzing quality performance, collaborating with operations managers to develop and implement improvements. In addition, they are also responsible for ensuring that workflows, processes, and products comply with safety guidelines and review codes and specifications. Other qualifications include a bachelor's degree in industrial or mechanical engineering or a related field; although, a master's degree may be given preference. Moreover, ASQ certification will be given preference. Essential skills include communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem solving.

The average hourly salary for the position is $60.67, which equates to $126,202 annually. The career is expected to grow in the coming years and create new opportunities all across the United States.
