Education:
4-year degree preferred, in Building Construction or relevant subject.
Work Experience:

Can follow an area schedule and track its progress
Full understanding of Microsoft Excel and Smartsheet scheduling
Eligible for CPR & First Aid Certification

Job Summary
The Department of Community Corrections is currently seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Bilingual Domestic Violence Probation Officer to work within the Domestic Violence Unit. The Bilingual Domestic Violence Probation Officer will supervise a Spanish- speaking caseload of adult domestic violence and/ or sexual offenders placed on probation and/ or pretrial. Duties will include supervising criminal defendants and offenders charged with and/or convicted of domestic violence offenses referred by the Courts, attending court proceedings as required. The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting probation intakes, supervising probation defendants/offenders, performing criminal history record and background checks and risk assessments, administering drug tests, collaborating with the Electronic Monitoring Unit and Victim Outreach Probation Officer, conducting substance abuse and domestic violence assessments to include making appropriate referrals, coordinating services with treatment providers, submitting reports, attending domestic violence probation review hearings and testifying in Court as required.
Hiring salary commensurate with experience.
Minimum Qualifications
The position requires education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in criminal justice, sociology, psychology, or related field, and a minimum of two years of work-related experience within the criminal justice or counseling field. Candidate must have a comprehensive understanding of the dynamics of intimate partner violence, cultural competency, and previous experience working within a domestic violence program or working directly with domestic violence defendants/offenders. Spanish proficiency is required for this position.
Job Contingencies and Special Requirements
Must undergo and complete a criminal and DMV background check and pass a language proficiency test.
Must be willing to supervise criminal defendants in an office setting and perform occasional residential visits. Must be willing to work with criminal defendants/offenders with violent tendencies, as well as victims/survivors of domestic violence. Must be willing to collect samples for urinalysis and administer alcohol breath tests. Must have strong writing skills and be able to compile facts and information into concise reports for submission to the Court. The candidate will have strong communication skills to interact with representatives from the legal community such as Commonwealth's Attorneys, Police Officers, Defense Attorneys, the Domestic Abuse Response Team (DART), Judges and court personnel. VCIN certification is required, selected candidate will obtain certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities
+ Lead all activities related to contract administration, change orders, procurement, schedule, and financial reporting

Basic Qualifications

+ Understanding of the strategic, operational, and financial components of a construction project

Job Summary
The Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services is actively looking for qualified individuals to fill full-time Lifeguard roles. The Recreation Center boasts a competition pool alongside a leisure pool that includes a water slide, a children's play area, and a hot tub. This role will involve maintaining records and facilitating the orientation of new aquatics staff. An ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, patience, and effective communication abilities.
We are currently hiring for the following location(s):
* Dulles South Recreation & Community Center, South Riding, VA
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Carries out daily custodial and maintenance functions to ensure the aquatic facility remains safe and clean, rearranges the pool for specific activities and events, and assists in the execution of special events.
* Ensure compliance with and enforce the regulations and rules governing the pool.
* Assists with clerical duties, including utilizing scheduling software, and maintains required aquatic facility records.
* Provide excellent customer service.
* Aids distressed individuals by utilizing rescue techniques and equipment; alerts emergency medical personnel in cases of significant injury; offers emergency care and treatment as required.
* It is possible that other essential duties related to the position and department may be performed as required.
This position is eligible for a $3,000.00 hiring bonus in accordance with the County's Hiring and Retention Bonus Program.
* The work schedule offers flexibility and will necessitate early morning, evening, and weekend availability.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma.
Preferred Qualifications:
* A minimum of one year of supervisory experience is preferred.
* Lifeguarding Instructor, AED, and Supplemental Oxygen preferred.
* Water Safety Instructor and Membership in the Virginia Recreation and Park Society and the National Recreation and Parks Association.
* One (1) year of aquatic experience, including aquatics programming and pool facility management, working with the public, groups, and organizations.
Job Contingencies and Special Requirements
Must undergo criminal background and credit checks. Must have Red Cross Lifeguard Certification, including First Aid and CPR, prior to beginning work.
