Responsibilities * Operate drones (UAVs) to collect aerial survey data and imagery for construction site mapping and progress monitoring. * Process and analyze drone-captured data using specialized software to create accurate maps, models, and 3D site visualizations. * Use CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, or similar) to create construction drawings, site plans, grading plans, and other technical documents. * Assist senior technicians and engineers in performing field calculations and collecting as-built data from construction sites. * Ensure that all collected data is accurately recorded, organized, and stored according to company and industry standards. * Help maintain and calibrate equipment, drones, and other field tools to ensure proper functionality. * Collaborate with construction teams and project managers to ensure that surveys meet project specifications and timelines. * Stay current with the latest developments in construction technology, drones, and CAD tools. Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, Geomatics, Construction Management, or a related field preferred. * Familiarity with construction principles and techniques. * Basic experience or coursework in drone piloting (UAV) for construction or surveying purposes. * Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, or similar). * Understanding of construction drawings and technical documentation is a plus. Skills and Abilities: * Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret construction site data. * Ability to work effectively in both field and office environments. * Good communication skills, both written and verbal. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Knowledge of safety protocols, particularly when working with drones and heavy construction equipment. * Strong problem-solving skills and a desire to learn new technologies. * Physical ability to perform fieldwork in diverse weather conditions and challenging terrains. Certifications (Preferred but not Required): * FAA Remote Pilot Certificate (Part 107) for drone operation. * Construction-related certifications, such as OSHA or surveying certifications, are a plus. CAD Technician Primary Function: The CAD Technician performs drafting and design duties for medium/high voltage substation or transmission line projects. Assignments range from closely supervised (CAD Technician I) to independent and complex (CAD Technician IV) work, depending on level and experience. CAD Technicians may specialize in Electrical, Transmission, or Civil/Structural design. CAD Technician II • Intermediate level; performs tasks under limited supervision. • Proficient in revising drawings from markups, sketches, or verbal instructions. • Working knowledge of substation terminology, standards, and document management systems. • Able to perform engineering support tasks independently and assist with project documentation. • Demonstrates consistent quality, accuracy, and understanding of client and corporate standards. CAD Technician III • Advanced level; performs complex drafting and limited design work with minimal supervision. • Extensive knowledge of corporate and client standards, CAD software, and substation systems. • Expert-level proficiency with AutoCAD; familiarity with MicroStation and 3D modeling preferred. • Capable of mentoring junior staff and contributing to CAD standards development. • Understanding of industry standards (ANSI, ASCE, ASTM, ACI, NEC, IEEE, NFPA). • May assist with light design work and client communications. Minimum Qualifications / Experience Associates degree in drafting & design is required. A certificate in drafting & design with relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree. Possess skills in the following areas: Experience with AutoCAD 2010 and newer is required. Experience with Microstation preferred but not required 3D CADD experience preferred but not required Basic drafting including drawing scales, drawing layouts (Paperspace/Modelspace), and accurately reproducing engineering markups CADD, word processing, spreadsheet, and e-mail software College level geometry Ability to work in a team environment Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with co-worker Physical Requirements This position requires minimal physical effort. Roles and Responsibilities: Work as a design engineer for maintenance or correction. Utilizing the CAD system, create innovative mechanical layouts of moderate complexity. Use the CAD system to create and maintain electrical and electronic product and production drawings of the highest complexity, mechanical product and production drawings of average complexity, and other associated documentation using layouts, sketches, or verbal instructions, depending on seniority. Ensure the accuracy of your assignments, with the exception of design elements, which fall under the project engineer's purview. Recognize the standards, practices, and drafting methods used by ANSI/Schlumberger. Recognize the methods and processes used in Schlumberger manufacturing as well as how ANSI/Schlumberger standards and guidelines should be interpreted. has a fundamental understanding of the mechanical product line and, depending on seniority, a partial or complete understanding of the electrical and electronic product lines. Program\: The Linde Leadership and Technical Orientation Program (LTOP) is a program that is sponsored by Linde's United States Bulk and On-Site unit. The program has a class of engineers that go through 52 weeks of training in a structured curriculum that is designed to give a very broad exposure to all aspects of plant operations with limited exposure to the broader Linde organization. Entry Level Engineer - Leadership Technical Orientation Program (LTOP)-25001455 Description Location: Burr Ridge, ILProgram: The Linde Leadership and Technical Orientation Program (LTOP) is a program that is sponsored by Linde's United States Bulk and On-Site unit. The program has a class of engineers that go through 52 weeks of training in a structured curriculum that is designed to give a very broad exposure to all aspects of plant operations with limited exposure to the broader Linde organization. The curriculum contains training common to operations with an opportunity for technical cross training. The LTOP is a mentored program, with each participant assigned a sponsor, and is specifically designed for those desiring to use an engineering/technical degree to leverage a management career and grow within the organization. Specific areas of operations that you will be required to study include all of the various product line processes (air separation, hydrogen, hydrogen-carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, helium, rare gases and standard plants); safety, health and environmental; distribution, logistics and customer service. Operations support functions will be covered as well. LTOP engineers will be expected to become actively involved in many aspects of their assigned training sites' activities and support their daily operations. These activities may include plant startups or shutdowns, maintenance, project planning and execution, training, problem solving, safety program execution, customer interface, personnel management, efficiency monitoring, product shipping and scheduling/planning. Specific activities that will be performed by the engineer are related to the day-to-day operation of the plant and include but is not limited to the following: Operation of the plant using the control system and physical equipment in the field such as motors, compressors, pumps, instrumentation, and various utilities (electrical, water, steam, and instrument gas). Assessing the efficiency and operating capability of plant equipment specifically as it relates to energy consumption. Making changes to operating modes or to equipment to optimize efficiency. Troubleshooting plant process and equipment problems and implementing solutions. Utilizing control systems and high-level advanced controls technology to optimize plant performance. Training operators in the areas of safety and plant operations. Providing some supervision of plant personnel or drivers as assigned by facility management. Monitoring compliance with internal Quality Assurance program requirements and initiating actions to correct non-conformance as appropriate. Executing various aspects of the Linde Safety Program including training, documentation, inspections, and correction of deficiencies.
