About the role, Your Impact
Baxter & Woodman has a rewarding opportunity for a Construction Engineer III to assist with projects located throughout IDOT District 2. The candidate selected for this position will report to job sites located throughout IDOT District 2 and will primarily assist with projects located in Ogle, Winnebago, or Boone counties in Illinois. The Engineer III will support the firm s construction group on a variety of projects ranging from roadways and bridges to underground installation. Additionally, the candidate will be assisting with the firm s design staff when required. The engineering position will also offer the opportunity to work directly with firm clients.
What your day-to-day will look like, what you will learn on the job
Conduct on-site observation of work, repairs, and tests as needed.
Coordinate construction activities with clients, inspectors, contractors and public agencies.
Endeavor to provide protection for owner against defects and deficiencies in the work.
Serve as liaison with contractor.
Maintain job site records of daily reports, job meeting minutes, approved drawings, and pay requests.
Observe, measure and document construction activities.
Maintain a daily log of construction activities.
Monitor progress schedule and shop drawing log.
Review pay requests and verify completed work.
Detailed designs as required by workload.
General civil engineering and client service.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Education Requirement
B.S. degree in Civil/Construction Engineering from an accredited program with an emphasis in construction engineering preferred.
Must-haves, what you will bring
Professional Engineering License required
5+ years of proven progressive experience in construction engineering
Experience working on IDOT or Illinois Tollway projects
Computer skills and mastery of proprietary software (IDOT CMMS program, ISTHA eBuilder, etc.)
Ability to travel throughout the IDOT District 2 area.
Compensation The pay range for this role is $90,000 - $115,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.

**Job Description**

As a Project Mechanical Engineer on our Data Center team, you will be a part of the firm's largest and most complex projects. You will serve as a project manager on some projects and lead design engineer on others. A typical day includes preparing planning and design documents, processing design calculations, and developing and maintaining team and client standards. You may lead quality assurance/quality control and act as an advisor on complex projects. You will also coordinate with other Olsson teams, professional staff, technical staff, clients, and other consultants.

As a Senior Project Manager for Large& SpecialProjects, you'll lead significant and complex projects, partnering with the world's top technology companies on their Data Centers. Your engagement will begin in early planning and continue through construction. Prepare Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
Prepare detailed control panel wiring schematics, panel layouts, bills of material, communication diagrams, etc.
Prepare instrumentation and control system submittal packages.
Design automation, controls, and related SCADA systems for water/wastewater processes, including communications, PLC architecture, instrumentation, and related software and hardware.

Education Requirement:

About the role, Your Impact
Baxter & Woodman has a rewarding opportunity for a Construction Engineer II in our Crystal Lake or Bannockburn, IL office. The Construction Engineer II will support the firm s construction group on a variety of projects ranging from roadways and bridges to underground installation and infrastructure construction. The Construction Engineer II position will also offer the opportunity to work directly with firm clients and assist with the design of projects. We are looking for a candidate in pursuit of or with ambitions to obtain their Professional Engineering license.
What your day-to-day will look like, what you will learn on the job
Conduct on-site observation of work, repairs, and tests as needed.
Coordinate construction activities with clients, inspectors, contractors and public agencies.
Endeavor to provide protection for owner against defects and deficiencies in the work.
Serve as liaison with contractor.
Maintain job site records of daily reports, job meeting minutes, approved drawings, and pay requests.
Observe, measure and document construction activities.
Maintain a daily log of construction activities.
Monitor progress schedule and shop drawing log.
Review pay requests and verify completed work.
Detailed designs as required by workload.
General civil engineering and client service.
Assist with design of future projects during off season.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Education Requirement
B.S. degree in Civil or Construction Engineering.

About the role, Your Impact

Manage/Complete engineering plans and specifications production using IDOT Standards.

Complete general civil engineering services for municipal, county and state clients.
Assist with business development and client management opportunities for transportation and infrastructure projects is preferred but not required.
Help prepare project-specific proposals, contract preparation, and teaming arrangements, and participate in project interviews.

B.S. degree in Civil Engineering.
Licensed Professional Engineer.

**Job Description**
Olsson is seeking an Electrical Instrumentation Engineer for our Data Center Facilities Engineering Design team to help support the design development of the instrumentation and control systems associated with electrical distribution systems. The Electrical Instrumentation Engineer will provide technical leadership and expertise with respect to system modernization and maintenance, will create plans, schematics, and one-lines, and will lead and support small and large instrumentation and controls projects with a focus on reliability and technical execution.
**Primary Responsibilities**
+ Support instrumentation-related threat mitigation action plans and incident management investigations and actions
+ Ensure the smooth real-time operation of the instrumentation system by performing and analyzing technical studies and data, developing strategies and alternatives, and establishing and documenting operating procedures
+ Works within a multi-discipline team to develop efficient and reliable electrical design packages for low and medium voltage electrical infrastructure
+ Lead the Instrumentation and Control design for projects and define control scheme in alignment with industry and client standards to satisfy power system reliability requirements
+ Review data sheets, control block diagrams, and functional/ operational descriptions for all instrumentation related projects
+ Provide technical leadership and serves as a subject matter expert, delivering professional and technical guidance on programs, projects and initiatives.
+ Mentor and support team members, offering guidance and encouraging initiative while helping them develop as engineers and technical leaders.
**Required Qualifications**
