We are seeking a Level 4 Senior Staff RF Engineer with a strong systems engineering focus to lead the architecture, analysis, and optimization of advanced RF systems for radar and communication applications. This role will require the ability to derive complete RF system budgets, assess and manage key performance parameters such as phase noise, CPCR (Clutter Power to Carrier Ratio), CA (Coherent Ambiguity), and more, while collaborating across engineering disciplines to ensure system performance exceeds mission requirements. Key Responsibilities: Define and develop RF system architectures for radar and advanced sensing applications. Derive and maintain RF link/system budgets including gain, noise figure, dynamic range, and spurious performance. Model and predict phase noise, CPCR, CA, spurious suppression, and related RF performance metrics. Conduct trade studies and system optimization to balance performance, cost, and schedule. Guide the integration of Tx/Rx modules, LO generation/distribution, filters, and beamforming subsystems into complete radar systems. Work closely with hardware, firmware, DSP, and mechanical teams to ensure full system-level alignment. Perform root cause analysis of system performance issues and recommend design changes. Generate and maintain high-quality documentation for requirements, budgets, analysis reports, and verification plans. Provide technical mentorship to junior and mid-level RF engineers. Strong skills with RF measurement equipment (VNAs, spectrum analyzers, phase noise analyzers, power meters). US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Organizes and manages facility-wide educational programs on health care risk management and related subjects for health care practitioners. Presents such programs in conjunction with the facility's education department or other organizations. Maintains a network of informational sources and experts; performs risk surveys and inspects patient care areas; reviews facility to assess loss potential. Works with leadership to develop risk mitigation plans associated with litigated claims. Ensures that patient care-related incidents are reported to Trinity System Office, CMS, and/or the Department of Health as required by law. *Specific Activities* * Conducts case finding by daily review of reported events and other information retrieved from other sources (i.e., verbal report, phone report, electronic submissions from MIDAS, and other referrals) and initiates appropriate follow-up. * Communicates with regulatory agencies, as needed, including, but not limited to: the NYS Department of Health (DOH), FDA, and others. * Coordinates overall functions including but not limited to: NYPORTS, NIMRS, Justice Center, STARS/ClearSight, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) death reporting in restraints; ensuring that reporting criteria are met. * Demonstrates a strong ability to identify, analyze and solve problems. * Uses appropriate tools when conducting root cause analysis, failure mode and effect analysis, gap analysis, other risk assessments. * Promotes an environment of learning and safety. * Is readily available to all staff as a resource. * Competent with data display and analysis * Additional duties as assigned.
