Profile description:
Educational Requirements

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
* Do a visual inspection of the YEI Machine at the beginning of the shift and complete the process inspection checklist including:
1. YEI machine components and processing parameters
2. Erema Screen Changer (operating properly at correct pressure settings)
3. GALA pelletizer operation (pellet quality, dryer, Conair unit, scale, etc.)
4. Auger feed (operating properly, magnet clean, correct speed for process)
5. Maintain forklift & that it is working properly, clean and without damage, proper safety in place
* Inform Supervisor and YEI operators of other shifts concerning the status of the product/material being produced.
* Assist YEI Associate in the cutting of non-woven plastic rolls.
* Produce product to the published schedule, to proper material specification, and production rate.
* Safely drive the YEI forklift to handle bales, parts, regrind, and finished product to and from the YEI process.
* Keep YEI Machine fed with proper material and blends to maximize quality and output of product scheduled.
* Perform normal YEI machine servicing (i.e., change screens, empty vacuum pump tank, clean Conair dust collector, shredder dust collect filters) to maintain proper machine operation.
* Perform process monitoring every 2 hrs. and record process information on the "YEI Worksheet" to insure machine is operating to specification.
* Keep feedstock materials free of contamination, jam-ups, metals, or anything harmful to the machine or process.
* Collect green inventory labels and fill out a daily production report.
* Keep work area clean and organized at all times, brake down boxes (remove old labels), stack pallets neatly, and make boxes with liner for finished product.
* Report to Supervisor anything abnormal with the machine or process.
* Perform minor maintenance on the process equipment in coordination of his/her Supervisor using only the proper methods and tools.
* Asist in training of new YEI machine operators.
* Assure that process equipment is never damaged, altered, defaced with markings, tape, etc. and always kept to like new condition.
* Wear PPE for the process equipment and area as required at all times.
