The Senior Structural Engineer will collaborate closely with architects, designers, and other engineering disciplines to ensure the structural integrity and efficiency of our designs. Key Responsibilities Carry out structural design process from conceptualization to completion, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Perform structural analysis and calculations for new building construction and existing structures. Develop innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges, optimizing structural performance while minimizing material usage and construction costs. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, reviewing their work and offering constructive feedback. Collaborate with architects, designers, and other engineering disciplines to integrate structural requirements into overall project designs.     Stantec's Program Management Construction Management (PMCM) Group is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to work on large, complex wastewater projects with construction values exceeding $500M over a 10-year period. The Senior Construction Manager will serve as a full-time on-site resource as the "eyes and ears" for the client (Metropolitan Sewer District of Greater Cincinnati). This role will involve management of several major overlapping construction activities in a fast-paced delivery environment. Projects may include improvements to wastewater treatment facilities at the two largest WWTPs serving the Cincinnati area. The role is co-located and embedded with client staff in Cincinnati, OH with the other members of the Stantec team, working primarily at the construction site with regular visits to the Program Management Office (PMO). Your Key Responsibilities - Provide visible leadership for the delivery of significant traditional and alternative delivery projects. Your Key Responsibilities * As a process expert, you provide t echnical leadership on water and wastewater projects, wastewater treatment; primary, secondary, tertiary and biosolids processes, water treatment, advanced wastewater treatment processes including membrane filtration and membrane bioreactors, side stream nutrient removal, and emerging technologies as applicable odor control and residuals handling processes, and industrial wastewater treatment. * You provide technical support to client account managers and Regional Leaders in the identification, positioning and pursuit of strategic clients promoting strategic project opportunities. * You have strong technical skills, project delivery, and leadership experience to a complex array of multi-disciplinary planning, design and construction projects for municipal water and wastewater systems including process engineering, treatment facilities planning and design, and related infrastructure. * You perform engineering analyses, modeling, and calculations and prepare detailed design drawings and specifications. * You'll interact with clients, Stantec staff, permitting agencies and other consulting firms in the execution of engineering projects. * You engage in active mentorship of peers and young professionals who desire guidance on career development objectives. * The Senior Process Engineer will engage in active membership in state, regional and national professional associations including, Water Environment Federation, International Water Association, Water Reuse Association, and others as appropriate. This engagement entails the delivery of papers, presentations, workshops and webinars at conferences and symposia, participation in technical training workshops and seminars, and involvement in committee leadership as appropriate. * Perform other duties as assigned. Education and Experience * Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical engineering. * Minimum of 10 years of experience. * Licensed Professional Engineer in Ohio (Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or other relevant discipline). * Strong technical and engineering skills. * Geographically based in US North Central, or willingness to relocate.
