The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out engineering tasks. Assignments are designed to further develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities.
Exercise judgment limited to developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives.
Prepare engineering related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids.
Assist in the development of solutions for technical problems.
Work with an experienced engineer mentor.
As an Engineering Intern, your task is to assist in design, analyze building systems or site development/public works projects, and assist in preparation of drawings and specifications for bidding and construction by contractors. Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for HR functions, including HR systems.
Present HR Compliance Training during New Hire Orientation as needed.
Assist the HR Operations Team with completing audits in HR systems, including expired MVR reports and drug screen results.
Occasional filing of documents into employee files as needed.
Audit Federal Regulation Boards to ensure compliance is accurate as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Organizational Leadership, Human Resources, or a related field.
In lieu of pursuing the above-mentioned degree, extensive comparable experience may be considered.

We are now accepting resumes for Summer 2026 internships. Opportunities are available in various engineering disciplines such as civil, environmental, water resources, transportation, mechanical, and electrical engineering. Additionally, internships are offered in planning, IT, human resources, marketing, and office services.
These internships are open to current undergraduate students from freshmen through juniors who are pursuing careers in fields related to our industry. Positions are available at various T&M office locations and typically run from late May through August.
Please note that in-person attendance at our office locations is required for this position. Specific schedules will be discussed and decided prior to your internship.
Ideal candidates should meet the following criteria:
Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program.
Previous internship experience is advantageous.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
Demonstrates a professional demeanor, appearance, and attitude.
Strong analytical, interpersonal, writing, and verbal communication skills.
For engineering-specific internships:
Pursuing a degree in Engineering or a closely related field.
Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office is preferred.
