This Opportunity WSP USA is seeking multiple **Part-Time Senior Transit Inspectors** to join our **National Fleet Facilities Team.** These positions may be based out of **Lansing-MI, Livermore-CA, Aniston-AL, or Washington, DC.** Provides technical assistance and physical inspection tasks for vehicle inspection and assessment of client vehicles and equipment on an as-needed basis. CE&I Roadway Inspector - Horry, SC Infrastructure Consulting & Engineering, LLC (ICE) is seeking qualified Inspectors to join our Construction Engineering & Inspection (CEI) team in Columbia, SC to support various transportation projects with the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) in District 5 (Darlington, Dillon, Florence, Georgetown, Horry, Marion, Marlboro, and Williamsburg.) The District HQ office is located in Florence. The inspector will monitor the work of contractors to ensure compliance with contract requirements, specifications, and quality standards for transportation projects of moderate to considerable complexity. In addition to inspection responsibilities, the inspector may be required to also provide inspection/project management, under the direction of a Project Manager. This Inspector will provide direction to junior inspectors on the project as needed. Responsibilities Provide daily observation of construction activities and document activities on required reports/forms. Review construction materials for contract and specification compliance. Inspect roadways and structures for conformance to plans and specifications. Evaluate structural materials, placement of culverts, and structural operations such as foundation excavation. Monitor placement of pilings, reinforcing and structural steel, concrete, and backfill. Verifies lines, grades, dimensions, and elevations using survey and field engineering equipment.
