Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of personnel or program security experience. Additional 2 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
* Experience and understanding of Program Access Request process.

SRC is searching for a skilled Senior Systems Engineer, with a primary focus on managing and optimizing the Nutanix hypervisor environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, testing, support, and patching of Nutanix systems, ensuring high availability and performance of the virtualized infrastructure. While Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) certification is preferred, we welcome candidates with experience in other hypervisor platforms who are committed to obtaining NCP certification within six months of hire.
Install, configure, and maintain Nutanix hypervisor environments to support mission applications and services
Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization to ensure reliability and scalability
Provide advanced technical support for Nutanix-related issues, including incident resolution and root cause analysis
Apply patches, updates, and security configurations to Nutanix systems in accordance with best practices
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement virtualization solutions that meet customer needs
Document system configurations, processes, and procedures for operational continuity.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology related field (or equivalent experience)
3 years minimum experience as Senior Systems Engineer supporting a DOD program of similar size and scope ($40M-50M, 35-40 personnel)
5 years minimum of hands-on professional experience as Data Center Engineer working with SDWAN or Hyperconverged Infrastructure for program/project of similar size and scope (25-50 personnel)
5+ years of experience in systems engineering, with at least 3 years focused on virtualization technologies
Hands-on experience with at least one major hypervisor platform (e.g., VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, or Nutanix AHV)
Strong understanding of virtualization concepts, including compute, storage, and networking in virtualized environments
Proficiency in system administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning in enterprise IT environments
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Possess IAT/IAM Level II or greater (e.g. Security+ CE, CCNA Security, etc.)
