    **MANTECH** seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented **Field IT Support Technician** to join our team in **Springfield, VA** . **This position will be relocated to Herndon, VA by the end of 2026** . In this role, you will provide on-site customer support, troubleshoot and repair printers, workstations, servers, laptops, and peripheral devices, and manage service requests while ensuring proper equipment accountability and maintenance. **Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:** + Diagnose, test, and repair printers, workstations, servers, laptops, monitors, keyboards, and mice, providing on-site technical support at customer locations as required. + Perform component-level troubleshooting by conducting operational checks, configuration, preparation, and repair using technical manuals, schematics, and a working knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals. + Receive, process, and resolve service requests, Category II tickets, and backorders in a timely and professional manner. + Process all returned equipment by repairing in-house when possible or coordinating vendor repair; items deemed non-repairable are processed for PTI in accordance with procedures. + Compile and provide monthly operational and maintenance data as required. + Local travel may be required between customer buildings or temporary assignment to an alternate location in support of special projects. + Work required shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM as part of a coverage team operating between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM. **Minimum** **Qualifications:** + High School Diploma with 8+ years of experience, an Associate's Degree with 6+ years of experience, or a Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of experience. + Direct experience troubleshooting, testing, and repairing printers, VTC systems, and VoIP phones in the customer environment. + Familiarity with TCP/IP networking fundamentals, ticketing systems, and vendor repair coordination. + Ability to read technical manuals and use common software tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, printer configuration). + Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license. **Preferred Qualifications:** + CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent technical certification. + Experience providing IT hardware support, including PTI processing. + Ability to adapt to quickly changing tasks and requirements and the ability to quickly learn new skills while on the job **Clearance Requirements:** + Must have a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph **Physical Requirements:** + Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time. Constantly operate a computer, phone, and other office equipment for extended periods of time. + Must be able to move/traverse within and between buildings and offices, position self to maintain equipment and cabling, including under the desks, while moving floor tiles, and in server closets, some of which may be confined spaces. + Must be able to move Audio/Visual or Computer equipment weighing 50+ pounds, some equipment may require team-lift or the use of carts. Ascends/descends a ladder, 10+ feet high while pulling cables and adjusting equipment. + Capable of operating hand tools, test equipment, and a forklift (license required or obtainable). The position will be located in Dulles, VA and is based on receiving contract award funding. Requirements High‑school diploma or equivalent Proven experience performing and writing-up detailed site surveys for network, server racks, telecom closets, or data rooms 5 years experience in data center or network infrastructure, with both survey and installation experience Demonstrated technical expertise in copper/fiber cabling standards; skilled in using testing tools (OTDR, multimeter, cable testers) Strong spatial awareness and ability to interpret blueprints, floor plans, and equipment layouts Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.; frequent bending, kneeling, standing, and ladder work Able to work in confined spaces (telecom closets, under raised floors) Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various job sites Desired Technical certifications (e.g., Cabling, BICSI, NVIS) Secret clearance Experience with fiber termination/splicing (SC, LC, anaerobic) and testing Prior work in structured cabling survey or network refresh projects Overview About Technica: At Technica Corporation, our goal is to provide exceptional professional services and innovative technology solutions that meet or exceed our customer's expectations.
