This role supports Space Launch Delta 30 (SLD 30) activities across various mission support systems, integrating engineering analysis with hands-on facility systems integration and planning.
**Responsibilities**
+ You will contribute technical leadership and operational integration to help ensure the mission readiness of launch and support facilities:
+ Provide facility systems engineering including risk assessment, project status monitoring, and operational maintenance for launch sites such as Space Launch Complex 8 (SLC-8), Test Pad 1 (TP-01), and Payload Processing Buildings 1800/1806
+ Perform integration for mission events and SLD 30 activities; plan for extended support during launch delays and recycling opportunities
+ Evaluate facility architecture, manage configuration baselines for systems including communications, video, data transmission, power, HVAC, water/sewage, and emergency management
+ Conduct engineering analyses and design reviews to fulfill user requirements using existing and enhanced capabilities
+ Identify requirement gaps and conduct capability assessments, concepts of operations (CONOPS), and risk evaluations to ensure site readiness. Analyze and recommend technical implementation strategies for facility user-requested changes and system upgrades.
+ Oversee launch facility project management including testing, inspections, document reviews, systems updates, and equipment lifecycle tracking
+ Deliver and maintain integrated project schedules with recommendations to de-conflict operational impacts across launch and support sites
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or a related STEM field
+ 9+ years of experience in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
+ 2 years of experience supporting National Security Space Launch (NSSL), launch/range operations, or relevant DoD missions
+ Working knowledge of launch complex infrastructure and architectural systems
+ Familiarity with tools such as architectural design software, databases, Jira/Confluence, and Microsoft Excel
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Systems engineering experience in mission-critical facility operations
+ Experience with configuration management, risk mitigation, and launch operations documentation
