    Job DescriptionDescription: About the Role We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Production Operator to join our team. In this role, you will monitor, operate, and troubleshoot plant process equipment used in the manufacturing of specialty powders. You will help ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production by performing equipment adjustments, minor maintenance, and process documentation. As a Production Operator, you will play a critical role in keeping our facility running smoothly, supporting both production and maintenance teams, and upholding our commitment to safety and quality. What You'll Do Comply with all safety requirements and actively participate in safety programs (talks, observations, audits, etc.). Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot production equipment to ensure smooth operations. Perform changeovers, equipment disassembly, assembly, and cleaning as needed. Follow daily production schedules, resolve quality issues, and escalate unresolved problems promptly. Stage packaging areas, lift/load 55 lbs. or more into equipment, and prepare finished product for shipment. Operate a forklift to transport raw materials and finished goods. Manage raw materials (organizing, weighing, measuring, staging). Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures. Conduct standard QC tests and accurately record production data. Use hand tools to perform minor preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment repairs. Keep work areas, tools, and equipment clean and properly stored. Requirements: What We're Looking For Minimum 6 months of prior experience in production or manufacturing (mechanical aptitude preferred). High School Diploma or GED required. Willingness to work overtime or weekends on short notice. Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine correspondence, and communicate effectively in English. Basic math and computer skills. Ability to follow written and verbal procedures, including LOTO. Strong attendance habits, teamwork skills, and ability to multitask. Pre-employment requirements: background check, employment verification, physical, and hair follicle drug screening. Work Environment & Physical Demands Stand/walk for extended periods (up to 12 hours). Perform bending, kneeling, climbing, twisting, and lifting (minimum 55 lbs.). Work in indoor/outdoor environments with exposure to heat, cold, dust, odors, and noise. Wear required PPE: long pants, long sleeves, steel-toed boots, gloves, hard hat, goggles, ear protection, and respirator. Must pass respiratory fit testing. Comfortable working at heights (up to 50 ft.) and in confined spaces.
