The successful candidate in this role will be part of an organization focused on adding new equipment details to a database, transporting, acquiring, and managing property, parts, materials, and assets for NGMS engineering development and test activities. More specifically, the successful candidate will work with a group of highly motivated individuals responsible for data entry and logistical movement of Measuring and Test Equipment (M&TE) to & from programs, vendors, and OEM suppliers. The role focuses on process discipline, schedule, and compliance with Northrop Grumman Command, Media, and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS). Process improvement, as well as delivering superior customer service in support of our customer base, is an ongoing focus. This involves material handling of general-purpose M&TE that typically weigh 25 - 35 lbs. and may weigh up to 50 lbs.
What You'll Get to Do:
Inspecting equipment for damage before accepting or delivering equipment
Utilizing a wireless barcode scanner to track equipment movement properly
Entering equipment-related data into a relational database
Verifying transportation paperwork (Work Orders & Shippers) to identify the destination location)
Maintain relationships with NG internal customers, Original Equipment Manufacturers, and Vendors for repair and periodic calibration of General-Purpose Test Equipment
Coordinate and follow up with production and engineering personnel to ensure appropriate scheduling and movement of materials
Working in automated systems (Outlook, Excel, PPT, Access).
Basic Qualifications Manufacturing Technician 2
H/S Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of two (2) years relevant experience
Experience with computers and automated systems (MRP)
Ability to frequently lift, move, and position/reposition objects weighing up to ~45lbs.
Preferred Qualifications Manufacturing Technician 2
Aerospace and Defense industry experience

* Responsible for machine start up, shut down and changeover procedures. Verify that screens on sifters are in good condition and are appropriate for the product that is running.
* Check that the mixer is set according to manufacturing order specifications and taking corrective action when product varies from quality standards.
* Check the manufacturing order (MO) and confirm the correct ingredients are being used.
* Dump ingredients into bag dump station or other specified area.
* Record all raw materials neatly and accurately on the manufacturing order (MO).

* Able to use simple work hand tools. Ensures availability of all required materials and supplies, using the appropriate lift trucks, hand jacks and other equipment once certifications are achieved.
Operates equipment, including troubleshooting and making adjustments in accordance with established work standards. Cleans and assembles equipment according to standard operating procedures.
Conducts quality checks at regular intervals; inspects ingredients and finished product to ensure product is processed according to specifications.
Truthfully and legibly completes required paperwork, written and electric reports. (i.e. Excel, Word, PCDA, Oracle, etc.).

Records all item and lot number information on production ticket. Documents and updates mix tickets and log book, ensuring that all information is written truthfully and legibly. Enters all information into computer system for tracking and accountability purposes, ensuring that all information is correct.
Lifts and places raw materials into appropriate tote or tank equipment or mixers via automatic or manual lifting. Properly labels bulk containers, mixes etc.
Keeps Quality Control and Research & Development departments informed, to ensure correct amounts of raw materials are used and to recommend improvements to existing products.
