Summary Redwire Space Missions, LLC has a current opportunity for a Contractor - Manufacturing Technician II for a period of up to 6 months, located at our facility in Littleton, CO. In this role you will be supporting development, production, quality, and continuous improvement efforts relating to the manufacturing of space hardware (cameras, cables & harnesses, electrical boxes, power distribution systems, etc.) Responsibilities Fabrication and validation of critical flight hardware, including mechanical assembly, electrical assembly, and flight Ground Support Equipment; per associated flight drawings, procedures, quality standards and internal training. Assist engineers in flight / prototype hardware manufacture / test infrastructure development, documentation of assembly, test procedures and other specified tasks. Identify and communicate non-conformances to engineering and quality assurance. Work with facilities and maintenance to ensure that production equipment is maintained and repaired in a timely manner. Core Hours Monday - Friday, 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm Purpose and Scope The Manufacturing Operator I - Packaging is responsible for the full set up and safe, clean, efficient and consistent operation of inspection and packaging equipment and all associated documentation for all Tolmar products. They provide manual assistance to the team using automated and manual equipment while ensuring that products are made with quality for our patients. Key Responsibilities Perform job responsibilities in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and production records with an expectation of "Right the First Time". Record data in notebooks or lab forms and accurately calculate results to support process. Perform job in a clean room environment requiring clean room gowning, including but not limited to: Company-provided Scrubs Shoe Covers Hairnets (and beard covers as applicable) Tyvek Coveralls Gloves Face mask Set-up, operate and monitor semi-automatic packaging equipment used to package pre-filled syringes. Automated packaging equipment includes (but is not limited to): semi-automated inspection, thermoformer, syringe connecting, labeler/vision systems, cartoning & serialization. Properly load pre-filled syringes and components into automatic packaging equipment. Interface with human machine interface (HMI) on automated equipment. Accurately document production activities using regulatory controlled documents including production records and log books. Correctly perform inspections of packaged components. Perform facility cleaning of manufacturing areas as required to maintain a cGMP environment and in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures. Properly perform job duties as a second-checker, ensuring all production activities are correctly performed per batch production records. Qualify and maintain 100% inspections of pre-filled syringes. Responsible for assembly, disassembly and sanitation of various equipment. Ensure that product quality adheres to approved specifications. Perform visual and physical checks of in-process and finished product as requested. Train new manufacturing employees to perform manufacturing processes. Conduct routine cleaning and monitoring of classified areas. Operate under the consistent supervision of a Lead Operator and/or Production Supervisor. Participate in required annual hazardous waste training. Hazardous waste involvement may include, but is not limited to container and tank management and inspections, generation of hazardous waste as a part of production or sampling processes and transfer of hazardous waste between lab procedure area, satellite accumulation and storage. Respond to spills per the Chemical Spill Procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Special Skills and Knowledge Working knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Procedures (cGMP). Summary Redwire Space Missions, LLC has a current opportunity for a Temporary - Manufacturing Technician II for a period of up to 6 months, located at our facility in Littleton, CO. In this role you will be supporting development, production, quality, and continuous improvement efforts relating to the manufacturing of space hardware (cameras, cables & harnesses, electrical boxes, power distribution systems, etc.) Responsibilities Fabrication and validation of critical flight hardware, including mechanical assembly, electrical assembly, and flight Ground Support Equipment; per associated flight drawings, procedures, quality standards and internal training. Assist engineers in flight / prototype hardware manufacture / test infrastructure development, documentation of assembly, test procedures and other specified tasks. Identify and communicate non-conformances to engineering and quality assurance. Work with facilities and maintenance to ensure that production equipment is maintained and repaired in a timely manner. Work with manufacturing engineering to optimize manufacturing orders and ensure process instructions are understood. Ideal Experience High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent plus advanced training. At least 2 plus years prior experience working in an Aerospace manufacturing setting in a similar position. Strong mechanical aptitude, good fabrications skills and general shop experience. Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office 365. Must be able to work Mon-Fri, occasional weekends to meet shipping dates and some late days. Ability to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Ability to reach with hands and arms. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision. US Citizen or US Person as defined by ITAR regulations. Must be able to work the following shift: Mon-Fri 7:30 to 4:00pm Desired Skills Ability to learn to read and work from diagrams, drawings, and detailed procedures. Ability to learn how to operate electrical and nonelectrical manufacturing equipment. Ability to learn how to use hand tools, including crimpers, drills, taps, torque wrenches, power tools and air tools. Ability to learn how to work with adhesives, chemical cleaners, coating materials and other commonly used chemicals used in manufacturing. Ability to take direction from multiple sources and manage time to meet daily milestones as well as satisfy longer term commitments to support projects. The Lead Manufacturing Associate is responsible for performing upstream and downstream processing of bulk intermediates and/or bulk substances for biopharmaceutical products including seed expansion, bioreactor operations, cell harvest, chromatography, tangential flow filtration, viral inactivation, and bulk fill operations. With direct supervision, this individual will provide direction/guidance to Manufacturing Associates and Senior Manufacturing Associates ensuring Safety, Quality, and Delivery always. Responsibilities: Manufacture product per established documentation in compliance with quality standards, company policies, and current regulations. Perform operations in a cleanroom environment, applying controls to ensure aseptic processing including gowning and cleaning procedures. Lead shift through pre-execution and post-execution review of their records as well as reviewing batch records real-time and elevating when appropriate. Demonstrate, apply, and ensure understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices with self and teammates. Assign shift tasks adhering to schedule requirements. Ensure Right-First-Time execution. Ensure additional tasks assigned by Manager/Supervisor are completed. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a related scientific discipline with 6+ years' experience in related GMP manufacturing operations OR a high school diploma with 12+ years' experience in related GMP manufacturing operations. Ability to work a night shift is required. Motivated, approachable, and looking to lead by example is required. Continuous improvement, Right-First-Time mentality is required. Knowledge of Upstream (Cell Culture or Fermentation) or downstream (Purification and Bulk Fill) operations is preferred. Experience in single-use platform technology is preferred.
