Respond to process upsets and alarms appropriately. Assures equipment and work area is clean after each shift. Responsible for TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) in appropriate areas. Participate in monthly training sessions for Safety, Quality & Food Defense. Maintain safety as top priority in accordance with all company safety rules and regulations. Participate in Lean Manufacturing Training and partake in Internal Audits. As trained, be aware of and responsible for their role in Darling's food safety program. SHIFTS are either 4pm-Midnight, or Midnight-8am All other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or G.E.D. (technical school degree is desirable). Weekend work is required (generous pay differential provided for weekend work). Manufacturing, industrial, or agricultural experience preferred. Preferred Experience: 1-3 years industrial experience a plus. Some knowledge of mechanical and process equipment. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Good mechanical aptitude and skilled in safe operating of equipment. Ability to deal with minor problems involving equipment or various situations. Works well with others in a team environment.
