Enters all downtime reason codes into ERP for tracking.
Verifies raw materials comply with work requirements.
Samples and visually inspects production every 30 minutes, document quality inspections hourly, and places product on hold by entering process correction (PCR).
Prepares for color changes; notifies mold tech, lead or supervisor when color change is needed.
Informs supervisor/lead of substandard production quality.
Checks material quality and calls for more materials if necessary.
Checks that all machine sensors, cap-guides and adjustable conveyors are operating properly.
Informs supervisor/lead of machine problems and fills out maintenance work requests (MRO).
Informs supervisor/lead if machines are not capable of running at standard.
Cleans machines and work areas of material, caps, oil, etc., clean filters, scheduled sanitation duties.
Fills and empties color and virgin hoppers.
Segregates, inspects and sorts scrap material.
Relieves Production Operators, Mold Techs during breaks.
Backup Production Operators and Mold Techs for other shifts; Covers for absences/vacations on other shifts on a volunteer basis.
Follows all GMP guidelines.
Adheres to all safety rules and procedures.
Completes all necessary documentation for all assigned machines. Follow manufacturing Work Order (BOM).
Reintroduces rejected parts after physical inspection, if parts are good.
Any other duties as assigned by Supervision/Management.

This position requires individuals to perform general production duties in a food manufacturing environment following strict quality and safety standards.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Must learn the safe and proper operation of equipment.
Perform set-up, start-up and changeover procedures for the equipment as needed.
Assist in troubleshooting issues with line performance as it relates to equipment operation.
Maintain downtime records during line operation.
Responsible for conducting and documenting quality checks.
Responsible for monitoring and communicating any process or product abnormalities to your Supervisor or Lead.
Perform sanitation duties on production equipment as needed.
Proper handling and usage of chemicals.
Must have the ability to follow written instructions and manuals.
Must handle Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's).
Support Plant Quality Systems.
Responsible to follow FSQ requirements such as GMP's and other daily/job specific duties to support QRMP.
Perform all other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Team Leader

FOL-DA-TANK is seeking a Fabricator / Manufacturing Technician to join our team in Milan, IL. This position focuses on industrial vinyl fabrication, including cutting, welding, grommeting, and assembly work using engineered drawings and work instructions.
Experience with RF welding or hot-air welding is a plus, but training is available for candidates with solid manufacturing or fabrication experience.
Responsibilities
Cut vinyl and related materials using cutting tables, scissors, and measuring tools
Weld and seam materials using RF (radio frequency), hot-air, and wedge welding equipment
Install grommets using press equipment
Lace vinyl liners to metal frames
Read and follow engineered drawings, measurements, and work instructions
Operate various manufacturing and fabrication equipment
Maintain safety, quality, and productivity standards
Work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
Manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, or production experience
Ability to read measurements and perform basic math
Experience working from drawings or written instructions
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new equipment
