Position Summary
Timken is looking for a skilled Machine Operator to set up, maintain, and operate production machinery. You'll ensure high productivity while meeting exacting safety and quality requirements. If you have a strong attention to detail and passion for ensuring quality output, we invite you to apply.
Position Responsibilities:
Setup and Operations - Set-up and operate production equipment including CNC lathes, honers, and bore grinders.
Gauging - Basic measurement of bearing geometry using state-of-the-art computer controlled gauging equipment as well as digital calipers, micrometers, metallurgical techniques, and dial indicators.
Quality through Process Control - Use process control techniques such as SPC, Histograms, Pareto analysis, etc. to understand and make adjustments to the manufacturing process. Emphasis placed on recognition, diagnosis and correction of out-of-control conditions. Will make quality checks to include concentricity, roundness, barreling, and eccentricity. Tolerancing up to and including .0000050. Problem solve to achieve above tolerancing and quality.
Zone Control - sound ANDON to signal abnormal condition or problem. Problem solve to correct issue.
Maintenance - Monitor, clean, and inspect equipment to prevent problems before they occur, tied with routine maintenance of equipment and troubleshooting problems of minor to moderate complexity. Perform operator level Preventive Maintenance.
Material Handling - Move work in process to adjacent operations. Complete affiliated administrative flow requirements as needed.
Customer Focus - Achieve a clear understanding of the customer's (internal and external) technical requirements for each order. Responsible for assuring conformance to these requirements.
Team Participation - Collaborate with a variety of plant teams focused on continuous improvement. Occasionally serve as facilitator of such teams. Regularly rotate to other machines and assist team members in meeting Team Metrics.
Training - Continuously develop and upgrade training materials used to train other technicians, and occasionally assist in training.
Safety - Requires daily participation and involvement in individual and team safety responsibilities such as Behavior Based Safety, daily housekeeping, proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and adherence to all safety requirements and policies.
Continuous Improvement - Generate and implement ideas for quality improvements and cost savings.
Basic Requirements:
Proven experience as a Machine Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
Technical skills in machine operation and troubleshooting.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and work in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.
High school diploma or GED.

While reporting to the Production Lead and Plant Manager, you will be responsible for performing safe and efficient unloading, processing, and storing of incoming recovered scrap.
What you will be doing:
Safe and efficient operation of assigned Fork Truck for use in handling bales, boxes, racks, bins, equipment, scrap rolls, etc. from one area of the plant to another. This also involves driving in the wastepaper area among other vehicles. Must be licensed by Sonoco or the designated agent.
Sorting/Grading items to type for baling
Unloading 53' (or like) Van Trailers consisting of baled and containerized material.
Able to properly weigh, grade, and stage unloaded material. This includes the operation of cameras / smart devices to track non-conforming material.
Stack and place pallets in designated area (maybe staged trailer)
Maintain, complete, and turn in all unloading manifests to assigned personnel.
Load outbound trailers / export containers with designated material for shipment to consuming mill.
Complete trailer / container inspections.
Check to ensure all material loaded meets required specifications.
Understand and implement required loading patterns to maximize weights while staying within legal limits. This requires an understanding of different bale types and loading patterns.
Move and stage material within the plant.
Catching and properly stacking bales in designated areas.
Dumping of loose materials from Gaylord containers into appropriate bunkers.
Inspect equipment daily for safe operation. Record findings.
Perform Daily PMs in accordance to Sonoco's Maintenance Excellence standards.
Willingly participates in Sonoco Recycling's 5S standard.
Stacking of Pallets.
Use of hand brooms / rakes / etc. to clean around docks or designated areas of the plant or trailers.
Picking up debris from the yard or perimeter of the property.
Be held accountable for assigned area of the plant.
Assist in cleaning conveyor pits, behind baler rams, and around the baler area.
Must be proficient in the safe and efficient operation of assigned Skid Steer Loader.
Feeding loose material onto infeed conveyor for baling.
Unloading loose material from various sized Van trailers in a safe and efficient manner.
Loading residue into open top containers for take away.
Perform other tasks or duties as assigned that relate to the safety, housekeeping, or operation of the plant.
Performs routine service and care of fork trucks. Document inspections.

Job Description:
Infintium Fuel Cell Systems, Inc. is developing next generation fuel cell system solutions to power material handling vehicles in the Greenville, SC area. We are currently looking for a Manufacturing Technician who will be responsible for making sure that our assembly and commissioning processes are executed properly. As we are a small production team, the successful candidate must be capable of setting and meeting goals reliably, with limited oversight. Primary Job Functions:
Develop and maintain all work instructions for all fuel cell classes.
Commission all units during production (software, visual checks, functional checks, etc.)
Troubleshoot fuel cell function as applicable during commissioning.
Participate in cross-functional problem-solving processes.
Maintain floor layouts.
Bring continued improvements to the production floor for process output improvement.
Monitor production assembly and subassembly processes for adherence to work instructions.
Work with Engineering to improve assembly processes and final design builds.
Assist production with unit builds as needed.
Support Job Functions:
Support with warranty analysis and troubleshooting on serviceable units.
Provide technical service support to customers as needed - as a collaboration with the service department.
Assist the service team in testing, troubleshooting, and correcting all units returned to Infintium for analysis/rework.
Requirements / qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or higher degree.

Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in manufacturing related field.
Mechanical aptitude and Electrical aptitude are desired.
