Manufacturing associate job description

This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of 3D printing equipment and media. The successful candidate must utilize excellent organizational skills and will oversee all 3D Printing operations, including: maintenance/repair; scheduling; planning; training within a busy and fast-paced environment, following all company rules and policies as well as OSHA/EPA regulations.

Duties and responsibilities Oversee 3D printing operations, to include: planning; scheduling; tracking; accounting; ordering; forecasting
Processing/troubleshooting/repairing/creating digital files
Expert digital file advisement/consultations for all users
Assist in streamlining operations and maximizing throughput wherever possible
Compile all necessary usage/revenue/maintenance/repair data
Manage/track revenue; create reports from compiled data
Assist in creating/updating usage policies
Lead Equipment/Operational training for new and existing staff
Assist in devising effective strategies for improving throughput and efficiency
Evaluation/Implementation of equipment
Assist in the supervision of Laser cutting operations and 3D Scanner operations
Repair/maintenance/calibration of equipment
Maintaining a clean shop environment
Tool circulation/tracking/reporting
Inventory tracking/reporting
Other tasks, as assigned

QualificationsMinimum 2 years of experience with 3D Printing equipment is desired.
Minimum 1-year experience managing, or assisting in the management, of 3D Printing operations
Candidates should be comfortable wearing the appropriate respiratory equipment for work where dust and fumes are present, along with any other required safety equipment (face shields/goggles/protective clothing).
Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent
Experience in a heavy manufacturing environment is desired
Able to read and understand written instructions

Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry over 50 lbs. Ability to stand, sit, stoop, bend, walk, reach, squat, kneel, push, and pull for long periods of time. Able to climb a ladder and flex the upper and lower body.
Work environment
Must be able to work alone and around others. Be able to have verbal and face-to-face contact with others. Must be flexible to work various shifts, work hours, different days of the week, and extended days. Able to work during daytime or nighttime. Must be able to withstand temperature changes, work under extreme heat or cold, confined spaces, inside and/or outside, and around dirt, dust and/or hazardous chemical materials. Each incumbent is assigned a pre-determined work schedule to follow by their Team Lead or Work Center Supervisor.

As a Manufacturing Associate/Assembly technician you will process wafers, PCBA boards, modules and test finish product. Perform QA inspections, cleaning and prepping material for customer shipments. This will include testing of products or subassemblies for functionality or quality and troubleshooting problems with equipment, devices, or products.
WHAT YOU'LL DO

* Build product subassemblies or final assemblies

* Monitor and report back to production engineering when process or equipment needs an adjustment based on Manufacturing work instruction for quality and productivity

* Prepare and assemble materials

* Set up and operate production equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures.

* Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to customer specifications.

* Move all production in web MES in a timely manner.

* Shift C -Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 10:00am to 10:30pm

Who You'll Work With

You will be working with other shift workers on shift C, and engineers and support teams in supply chain Manufacturing production floor; requires safety awareness and attention to safety protocol. Must be able to work days, evenings, and weekends to meet business needs. Employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high due to the nature of the product and equipment.

Who You Are

* Able to use computers, follow written instructions work with sensitive equipment

* High School/ GED diploma

* Experience in semiconductor or medical related field preferred.

* Knowledge of lean manufacturing processes, manual dexterity, selective attention, deductive reasoning, critical thinking, Typing skills and using microscopes a plus

* Job requires standing during length of working shift, regularly lift or moving up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
