Shift 1 (United States of America) The Production Operator in Sabetha, Kansas is a Welder position responsible for work in high bay area of fabrication department. running laser cutters and the operation of machine tools that cut, shape, and form metal. Work You'll Do: Performs CNC and manual fabrication to blueprint specifications or cut lists on a variety of metal products such as layout, rolling, cutting, shearing, drilling, breaking, and punching. The Manufacturing Specifications Specialist is responsible for insuring the accuracy of all product specifications for all print production orders. Examines specifications and validates material, tooling and processes in order to produce products conforming to the customer requirements. Confers with department heads, research and development and production personnel to develop or confirm information regarding various elements and determine factors that affect performance. Compiles and analyzes feedback from multiple departments to maintain current & accurate specifications. Essential Functions: Maintains product specifications utilizing the print management system. Maintains detailed technical knowledge of Phenix Label Company's manufacturing capabilities and constantly increases knowledge on the changes and advances of the label and packaging industries. Must do visual inspection of boxes to insure proper box/tray is used and the graphics on the box/tray are acceptable. Must insure proper coding is on the bottle, cans, boxes/trays, and if applicable the graphics are acceptable. Must insure closures and lids are properly applied. Verify flavor and size according to schedule. Report any major defects to the Lead person and/or Manager. Monitor the machine while running. Check to see that all bottles, cans are packed into the box correctly. Fill glue pot's as necessary. Verify case code is correct as scheduled. Clear your machine of all products at end of each run and at the end of your shift. Must follow the work rules at all times. GMP compliance MUST be adhered to at all times. Is responsible to report any quality issue to the Lead person, QA Technician and/or Manager. Assist in relieving other operators for lunch breaks. Keep work area clean at all times. Must insure that all equipment is on and functioning properly prior to starting a run. Air is on, all conveyors are on. Must do visual inspection of boxes to insure proper box/tray is used and the graphics on the box/tray are acceptable. Watch flow of materials, i.e. Cans/bottles/boxes/trays, etc… into appropriate machine. Clear jams if necessary. Must insure proper coding is on the bottle, cans, boxes/trays, and if applicable the graphics are acceptable. Must insure closures and lids are properly applied. Verify flavor and size according to schedule. Report any major defects to the Lead person and/or Manager. Monitor the machine while running. Check to see that all bottles, cans are packed into the box correctly. Fill glue pot's as necessary. Verify case code is correct as scheduled. Clear your machine of all products at end of each run and at the end of your shift. Must follow the work rules at all times. GMP compliance MUST be adhered to at all times.
