JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
This role plays a key part in supporting the production and manufacturing engineering team by troubleshooting equipment issues, developing new ideas and solutions, and driving safety improvements on a daily basis.
Assist with layout planning, installation, and testing of automated and semi-automated manufacturing equipment.
Work with a sense of urgency in a fast paced, high output environment on a variety of short-term projects.
Support and implement Lean Manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
Work with vendors/suppliers to procure and install tooling, fixtures, and/or equipment.
Create documentation for the processes used in building products.
Recommend product improvement and maintain standard drawings/specs.
Support new product launches and development (PDP Process).
Provide documentation for estimating the cost of materials and labor of manufactured product.
Support daily production through troubleshooting, testing, and validation of product.
Perform other related duties as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Ability to network cross-functionally.
Ability to show initiative, be a self-starter and be able to work with little to no supervision.
Ability to adapt to rapidly changing business circumstance and have the ability to thrive in a constantly changing business environment.
Ability to use computer programs including MS Office, MRP (JD Edwards preferred), SolidWorks, etc. - intermediate level.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training)
2-years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Compensation Range:
$20.40 - $37.80 Per Hour
Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
