Must insure proper coding is on the bottle, cans, boxes/trays, and if applicable the graphics are acceptable.
Must insure closures and lids are properly applied.
Verify flavor and size according to schedule.
Report any major defects to the Lead person and/or Manager.
Monitor the machine while running. Check to see that all bottles, cans are packed into the box correctly.
Fill glue pot's as necessary.
Verify case code is correct as scheduled.
Clear your machine of all products at end of each run and at the end of your shift.
Must follow the work rules at all times. GMP compliance MUST be adhered to at all times.
Is responsible to report any quality issue to the Lead person, QA Technician and/or Manager.
Assist in relieving other operators for lunch breaks.
Keep work area clean at all times.
Shut down all equipment at end of shift if line is going down for the day.

Qualifications:
Good understanding of a multi station production environment.
Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Self-driven and able to perform work duties as assigned
Able to review your own work and the work of others ensuring accuracy and quality
Able to use basic production tools and equipment with proper training
Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Eager and willing to gain knowledge of all offered products and processes
Ability to communicate with all team members effectively
Ability to move to new tasks as needed to ensure all work areas are covered as needed
Able to lift 35-50 lbs repeatedly throughout the workday

Physical Requirements
Tolerance for sitting long periods of time. Possess finger dexterity to write, type, and use a calculator. Maintain adequate vision to view small print and computer terminal. Ability to travel between multiple facilities as required to perform core job duties. What you will do
Looking for a packaging technician to assist manufacturing team in the production of cannabis-based medicines. This includes packaging, inventory management duties and labeling.
* Package edibles products following specifications.
* Trim and pack edibles into final packaging
* Apply labels to various types of edibles
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment including cleaning labware
* Keeps a detailed laboratory log, dating and recording all tasks performed and relevant
* Comfortable performing in a goal driven environment
* Perform other functions as necessary to provide an adequate supply of product to meet patient needs
* Able to setup, and breakdown needed equipment
* Provide feedback to improve process quality
What You've Accomplished
* 2-year technical degree in automation, packaging and biomedical technology or related field.
* In lieu of technical degree, minimum of 3 years' experience working in regulated environment with automated or semi-automated equipment
* Familiarity with GMP, OSHA or other standardized manufacturing and safety guidelines.
Physical Demands
Ability to communicate orally with management and other co-workers is crucial. Sitting or standing for extended periods is common. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents.
Some heavy lifting may be required. Exertion of up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally may be required. Must be comfortable operating and troubleshooting scientific and packaging equipment.
Work Environment
The job is performed indoors in a traditional laboratory setting. Exposure to chemicals and laboratory agents is expected. Protective safety clothing, goggles, gloves, face masks, or hairnet are required as needed. Must be able to adhere to clean room protocol in designated area. Activities include extended periods of sitting or standing and extensive work using laboratory and packaging equipment and machinery.

Able to understand and operate highly automated equipment with computer interfaces.
Able to climb, twist, and bend at the knees and back, maneuver in tight spaces, lift objects up to 50 pounds regularly and push/pull objects up to 75 pounds occasionally, differentiate between colors, work in non- temperature-controlled conditions (hot or cold), and able to stand and walk a minimum of 70% of the time.
