Job Description This position is responsible for the assembly, installation, testing and calibration of electrical wiring control panels and associated components used for manufacturing systems. Must be able to follow blueprints, bill of materials, schematics, or piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID). This role is also selects, measures and prepares electrical wiring or coaxial cabling. Additionally, this role is responsible for the connection of wiring and labels to panels. This position performs instrument startup, calibration as well as functional and safety testing. Contract Description The Manufacturing Associate II (DS), is a regular employee in a full-time non-exempt position at Kashiv BioSciences, LLC, in Chicago, IL. This employee will be responsible for the manufacturing of Biotechnology products for clinical and commercial human use. Employee applies aseptic techniques while working in controlled and classified environments, which require cleanroom gowning and some aseptic gowning. There are two first shift work schedules available to work. Group #1, Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm. Overtime for Group #1 consists of working 1 hour prior to the start of shift (starting at 6:00 AM) or staying 1 hour at the end of the shift (until 4:30 PM). Group #2, Monday - Thursday 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Overtime for Group #2 consists of working 7:00 AM-3:30 PM on Friday (half days are available for Overtime on Fridays). Job Description Responsibilities Install, configure, and troubleshoot photo eyes, proximity switches, limit switches, PLC input/output modules, and related control wiring. Provide expertise in troubleshooting analog and digital controls associated with 480V, 3 phase power distribution systems, motors, variable frequency drives, servo drives, and soft starts. Maintain and troubleshoot position feedback devices, including encoders and load cells. Program and troubleshoot PLC and HMI interfaces, making logic modifications in ladder logic. Diagnose and troubleshoot both integrated and stand-alone graphic human-machine interfaces. Analyze communication protocols such as Profibus, serial, and industrial Ethernet. Utilize electrical schematics for troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment issues. Conduct preventive maintenance on Laser Guided Vehicles, conveyors, and production equipment. Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory. Demonstrated experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and servo systems is required. Preferred experience in troubleshooting and maintaining packaging equipment within a manufacturing setting. A solid understanding of manufacturing safety protocols (lockout/tagout, confined spaces, personal protective equipment, etc.) is preferred. PLC programming experience is advantageous. Familiarity with electrical encoders, servomotors, and amplifiers is preferred. Proficiency in reading electrical schematics is essential. Nice-to-haves Experience with computerized maintenance systems is preferred.
