As a Production Operator - Bond/Mask you will assemble, disassemble, bond, mask, and repair electronic assemblies in a flexible manufacturing environment in accordance with standardized processes, procedures or methods. What a Day Looks Like: Bond and masking electronic circuit boards to class 2 and class 3 requirements in accordance with J-STD. Solder/bond and coat and install components, wires, and adhesives on PC Boards. Read and work from assembly processes, procedures, engineering drawings, and specifications. Assemble circuit boards in accordance with standardized processes, procedures, and methods. Work with mechanical and/or electrical assemblies involving fixed indicating meters, in-circuit test/functional test, marking machines, jigs & fixtures, packaging, wire cutting, stripping & twisting equipment, various types of fastening devices involving power operations, hand tools and gauges (fixed, micrometers, calipers, rules). Assemble and/or repair printed wiring assemblies (pwa), subassemblies, instruments, and final assemblies of various components utilizing a wide range of tools, work processes and skills to approved documented procedures/specifications. Perform ICT and Functional testing on various products. Crimp pins, using both hand and semi-automatic crimping tools. Use heat guns to install heat shrink and/or solder splices. Strip wire using thermal, hand and semi-automatic strippers. Perform light mechanical assembly duties. Perform inspection of your work and the work of your co-workers. Record time and quantities on daily production logs and time sheets. Read and work from assembly processes, procedures, engineering drawings and specifications. Identify and document problems on assemblies and suggest solutions. This position typically works under general supervision and direction. Performs other assembly duties as required.
