The assigned tasks are repetitive in nature and acceptable proficiency can normally be attained within a few days, one is normally assigned to a specific task's area within the production flow of the garments. Due to varying warehouse production requirements incumbents may be instructed by a member of the management team to assume tasks not normally assigned to the incumbent. **Essential Functions:** All positions in the plant require the following: + Perform the assigned tasks in a proficient manner. This includes attaining a minimum of 100% of the production standard for tasks for which production standards have been established. + Maintain high quality standards on all work performed. Inspect all materials for damage or excessive wear and properly report the findings to the appropriate responsible person for resolution. + Maintain a clean and hazard free work area. Immediately report all broken or malfunctioning equipment or safety hazards to the appropriate person for corrective action. + Follow all company and work rules. Must be able to work effectively in a team environment. + Support an environment of continuous improvement by making suggestions and implementing where possible. + Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the activities enumerated above. Descriptions of various tasks in the plant: **Codetape/Assembly/Hem/Hang/Emblem App** + Apply code tape using a Heat Seal Machine + Use the Maincore reports to verify, log, and track daily order transmissions. + Attention to detail in preparing daily work instructions, Back Orders and daily/weekly/monthly reports. + Customer Service contact for inquiries, questions, status, etc. with assigned Market Centers (phone and E-mail). + Print Code Tape and assemble daily work tickets with code tapes and emblems, following schedules. + Cut clothing to order specifications + Hem pants using blind stitch and straight stitch machines + Hang garments according to customer specifications + Inspect garments for errors and damage + Receive customer orders requiring emblem application + Apply emblems according to order specifications **Inventory** + Receive, store, and issue materials from stock. + Keep records and compile stock reports on progress of work, inventory levels, and production problems. + Take physical count of stock or check and mark merchandise. + Coordinate and expedite the flow work and materials within or between departments according to production schedule. + Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. **Packer** + Receive orders from distribution and inspect garments for accuracy (e.g. spelling, thread color). + Fold and tape container and put it on conveyor belt for shipping department. + Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. **Picker** + Pick orders according to printed pick tickets + Check picked orders to make sure requested styles, colors, and quantities are correct + Load completed cartons on to conveyor to be distributed to the next department + Clear away empty garment boxes and move new boxes to the front of pick shelves + Keep pick isles clear + Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. **Receiving** + Unload incoming freight and verify active counts + Receive freight using WM system, verify vendor, purchase order number, SKU, and quantity + Put away stock in warehouse + Verify discrepancies for posting + Pull available stock as requested by supervisors using computer generated pull slips + Perform aisle audits (cycle scans) + Maintain department quality and production standards. + Daily/weekly upkeep of equipment and facility (cleaning) as needed + Receive merchandise from outside vendors against Advance Shipping Notice (ASN). + Facilitate the movement of stock and incoming packages to be distributed. + Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. **QC audit /Inspection** + Conduct internal audit of cartons. Inspect for accuracy and compliance to quality standards and work flow procedures. + Maintain data base of audit results. Update spreadsheets with weekly, monthly totals. + Maintain data base of customer returns for quality. + Prepare written reports and interface with management on quality issues. + Make recommendations for improvements. + Coordinate with Trainers on Training Processes. + Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. **Returns** + Open and key customer return orders into Phast + Sort packages into categories + Maintain garment disposition based on most recent department guidelines + Accurately code all return orders to ensure accurate reporting + Perform RTS (Return to Stock) processing + Respond to and initiate calls to resolve issues when necessary + Document customer feedback using appropriate feedback methods + Assist in transporting hampers/racks/pallets to proper areas + Process garments identified for disposal with the appropriate vendor + Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. **Shipping** + Create and maintain customer database and maintain various reports/spreadsheets + Interface with AUS internal customers + Assist customer service by tracking packages/shipments + Perform general clerical duties + Package by hand a wide variety of products and materials for shipment. + Use shipping computers for multiple carriers to process shipments as customer has requested. + Keep necessary records and completed forms. + Maintain department quality and production standards. + Daily/weekly upkeep of equipment and facility (cleaning) as needed + Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. **Transporter** + Responsible for the overall carton flow through the departments. + Remove cartons from picking conveyor and place in designated locations of flow rack or floor area + Put the work in the flow racks by priority and don't mix the dates. + Remove cartons from flow rack, write the station number on the carton label and send the carton to that workstation + Keep workstations stocked at all times + Move cartons using a hand truck to the stations as needed + Push finished cartons on outbound conveyor + Repair damaged cartons as needed + Communicate to leadership team the status of the work flow throughout the shift + Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. **VAS Machine Operator** + Operate embroidery machines + Keep the machine running as you prepare the next order. + Be able to stand in one area for the whole shift and keep a steady pace. + Type in the tape #, Read the #'s on the Thread. + Replenish thread colors for each order as needed. + Be able to see small objects and pay attention to detail. + Thread needles, Change the threads. + Be able to learn hooping. + Receive orders with customer specifications, prepare garments for customization and use computerized sewing machines to embroider garments. + Retrieve thread color, thread needles and align garment or hat inside the hoop, under the needle. + Align the garment or hat under the needle to ensure proper placement of the stitching. + Following customer specifications input the requested information into the sewing machine and apply the appropriate embroidery to the garment. + May operate multiple machines at once. + Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. **Material Handler** + Customer Service contact for inquiries, questions, status, and tracking numbers (phone and E-mail). + Execute requests to find orders, make changes, and locate tracking numbers and expedite. + Primary contact to coordinate daily Must Ship By Requests. + Perform Rep. Inspections and Sample Inspects on requested orders. + Order Emblems + Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. **Seamstress** + Receive customer orders requiring alterations or special repairs. + Thread sewing machine with requested thread color and align garment under needle for sewing. + Perform requested repairs or alterations. + Maintain department quality and production standards. + Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. **Driver/Stocker** + Use forklift to pull product from reserve locations + Stock active pick locations with product + Maintain department quality and production standards. + Perform aisle audits (cycle scans) using bar code readers as needed + Daily/weekly upkeep of equipment and facility (cleaning) as needed + Using a razor knife, cut cases open according to dept standards. + Put away and locate stock in warehouse using RF Scanner + Pull available stock as required. + Pull cases for transfers, liquidations, RTV's and other needs + Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. **Working Environment:** Exposure to adverse temperatures which may include extreme hot or cold. The following physical activities are required: lifting, reaching, bending, walking, sitting, standing, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to routinely lift and maneuver a minimum of 50 lbs. without assistance. Tight deadlines that may require overtime are required. Overtime may be required.
