Job Overview The Operator Manufacturing III is responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performing preventive maintenance on assigned machines. The Operator Manufacturing III is also responsible for inspecting parts and making adjustments or tool changes as necessary to maintain quality specifications. This position also assists with setting up and operating production equipment while following established procedures and guidelines, and adjusting machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion. Duties & Responsibilities * Performs necessary pre-operation activities on multiple pieces of equipment to ensure proper equipment startup and operation * Operates multiple pieces of equipment and monitors equipment during operation, performs setup and changeover, inspects parts and makes adjustments or tool changes as necessary to maintain quality specifications and to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops * Performs scheduled quality assurance tests in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and communicates results with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high-quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials * Performs housekeeping activities and sanitations on production equipment * May operate equipment including Palletizing machines (1-2 machines) to maintain factory efficiency, changeover the machine to different SKU and package sizes * May operate Stretch Wrap machine and operate the computerized Pallet Tag machine * Unload of product from the Palletizing machines, or loading the product directly into trailers using Radio Frequency (RF) Tablet * Scan the product while safely stacking product in the Warehouse bin locations Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities * Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment * Technical, mechanical aptitude for initial basic troubleshooting * Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs., stand on feet for prolonged periods of time and climb stairs as needed * Weekend work will be required, including some holidays as scheduled to support customer demand * Equipment noise is elevated requiring the use of hearing protection * Seasonal temperatures can be expected Minimum Qualifications * High school diploma or GED * Knowledge acquired through 1 to up to 3 years of work experience Preferred Qualifications N/A Work Environment Noisy, wet, and extreme temperature environment Equal Opportunity Employer - All qualified applicants will be considered for employment without regard to disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law. Identify and apply the correct information on the containers and or proper documents while following all fill off and safety procedures * Fill off approved batches ranging from 1 gallon to 5000 gallons into the proper shipping containers * Measure the amount of product into the correct container for proper yield, by weighing and/or measuring the weight of the material in the containers with the tools provided * Once containers are filled and all openings are closed and tightened, check for leaks around the ring, bungs, and chimes * Properly complete the batch ticket as instructed, label all containers, and number them in the sequence they were filled off * Once the batch ticket has been approved and signed by the supervisor, send the containers to the shipping department along with the batch ticket * Properly dispose of filters; wash out the pump; wash the tanks, filter housing, and hoses with the appropriate cleansing material * Properly label and stage all cleaning material in proper areas * Properly label and stencil all containers to satisfy customer and shipment requirements * Perform area housekeeping duties per expectations * Other duties as needed to complete production process Job Requirements Prior Manufacturing experience desired and Prior experience working in a paint manufacturing facility preferred!     Full-time Description Operates a computer/manual controlled insert machine that accumulates, folds, inserts, seals and verifies mail. Follows work order instructions closely to ensure a quality product is produced. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Perform all assigned procedures in an efficient manner while observing all safety rules. Read and understands work orders, job instructions, and perform all quality control procedures. Set up and operate insert equipment following all mandated Standard Operating Procedures. Verify that components match work order jacket and sample. Obtain Lead/QC signoff and copy of output sample for first piece produced prior to processing order. Verify materials when opening new cartons. Match output to sign off sample consistently throughout order to ensure accuracy. Monitor inserter for doubles and miss-feeds, proper sealing, fold quality and DRS verification. Monitor and troubleshoot machine seeking assistance in a timely manner to ensure efficient processing. Report product or order issues that may delay processing to Lead and/or Production Supervisor. Ensure all job ending totals match work order instructions including DRS Summary prior to releasing order from machine. Clear all left-over materials from machine after each order and prior to starting a new. Maintain a clean, safe and orderly work area at all times. Notify Lead/Supervisor when assigned tasks are completed. Avoid unnecessary down time Complete and submit required daily paperwork. Assist in other departments when necessary Report any injury to immediate supervisor. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands. This job description is reflective of tasks that will be performed in a variety of departments. Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units May support the window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading of materials or windows Perform any workstation function using hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers Understand and carry out verbal instructions Read and carry out simple written instructions Read work orders, labels, and schedules Use a tape measure (will be asked to read measurements during interview), inspect, examine, and observe for product defects Make fraction and decimal conversions Operate any equipment needed to perform a job Perform other duties as assigned Provide on-the-job training to new employees Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age to apply Must be authorized to work in the US Must be able to pass a background check and drug test Ability to carry out written or verbal instructions Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist Preferably with experience in manufacturing Preferably with experience reading a tape measure Additional Information Site Address: 433 N.
