POSITION SUMMARY:
Installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing production equipment while maintaining a safe and efficient GMP working environment.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair production equipment.

Coordinate equipment installations and contract projects.
Identify and complete improvement projects that reduce machine down time or reduce the frequency of recurring equipment issues.
Update Maintenance Control documents to reflect current equipment maintenance requirements, practices, and procedures.
Train other Manufacturing Technology Technicians how to perform documented maintenance tasks.
Note: 50% of this job involves direct R&D activities
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma/GED required. 2 year technical degree, or equivalent experience in a scientific discipline preferred.
SPECIALIZED SKILLS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Basic computer skills.
Knowledge of machine repair and mechanical/electrical troubleshooting.

The objective of the Plating Entry Level Trainee is to learn how to perform a minimum of 3 of the 11 specific Plate Department operations within a 3-6 month period. The Plating Trainee is responsible for learning to perform the following operations according to their respective process procedures:
1) PL501- Electroless Copper Dep 7) PL507- Deburr
2) PL502- Multibond 8) PL508 - Resist Strip, Etch, Tin Strip
3) PL503- Gold Plate 9) PL509- True Scrub
4) PL504- Gold Tape 10) PL510 - Desmear
5) PL505- Acid Copper Plate 11) Plate ENG1003- Hazardous Waste Management
6) PL506- HAL
The Plating Entrée Level Trainee is responsible for learning to start up, operate, and shut down Plating Department equipment as well as to learn how to perform routine maintenance.
Job Responsibilities:
§ Learning how to turn on tank heaters and bring the fluid levels up
§ Learning how to handle acids and caustics
§ Learning how to read/fill out Process Travelers, logs and charts
§ Learning to inspect his/her own work
§ Performing tasks as directed by the Plate Lead and/or Supervisor
Requirements
Qualifications:
§ Must be able to read prints
§ Must be able to lift 50lbs
§ Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
§ Must understand basic math
§ Must be able to follow documented procedures
§ Experience in the PCB industry is a plus!
§ Must be comfortable working around chemicals with the safety equipment provided.
