Summary:

The Production Operator “C” position is an entry-level position that primarily focuses on ensuring product quality control by utilizing various sampling and analytical testing protocols. This position also supports multiple departmental non-essential or critical functions as directed by supervision (supports B, A, and Lead Operators). This position requires some computer skills for data entry, e-mail communication, and the creation of work requests. This position requires working a rotating schedule.

Essential Responsibilities:
Assists the Lead Operator or A Operator in monitoring process equipment and making necessary adjustments, as directed, to maintain process parameters as specified within Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
Performs sampling and analysis to maintain process and finished product specifications.
Maintains operation of filter presses by placing them on or offline for cleaning.
Loads waste materials into hoppers from filter presses.
Maintains salt storage area and adds salt to each saturator as needed. Must have the ability to safely operate a front-end loader (heavy equipment).
Maintains the brine guard filters by replacing the filtering media as needed.
Maintains the body feed tanks by adding water and cellulose bags to each tank as required.
Operates and maintains plant utility equipment (air, water, steam, etc.) as directed.
Archives and organizes process records as instructed by supervision.
Provides housekeeping throughout the facility. Keeps the plant in order/clean condition. Maintains an inventory of necessary supplies for various departments as instructed by supervision.
May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed.
Performs inventory reconciliation on the laboratory reagent chemicals.
Provides support during railroad drills.
Assists with answering phones during off-hours.
Assists with the handling of non-EHS railcars.
Assists with electrolyzer cell rebuilding.
Always wears appropriate safety equipment.
Provides awareness level support to on-site incidents.
Serves as a member of The Facility Security Staff.
Provides escort service for facility visitors.
Performs other duties as assigned by supervision.
Required Skills/Abilities:
This is a non-EHS job function.
Must have the capability of using Fall Suppression Equipment.
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Must be able to pass a 10-panel controlled substance testing and random testing after that.
Must be able to pass a background investigation check and maintain good standing order, as per TSA's TWIC criteria.
* Medically qualified means the employee must submit to an annual physical which may include a drug screening.
Education and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent. Experience working in a chemical manufacturing facility is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Frequently climbs stairs and ladders.

Must be able to work outdoors in different climate conditions.
Must be able to sit for extended periods.
Must be able to walk on secure elevated process platforms more than 15-foot heights.

Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products to brewery standards.
Keep the packaging areas and workspaces clean and organized.

Communicate all mechanical issues to Packaging Supervisor and maintenance department.
Communicate the department's materials needs to ensure the production schedule is executable.

Ensure finished product is safely and neatly stored in the cooler and logged in accurately each day.

This position requires for the Operator to change plastic rolls as needed and place them in the machine for wrapping product.
The Operator will also walk to get the rolls that are being replaced when the previous rolls are empty.
Operate various production machines
Assure that the machines are running properly
Perform quality checks to confirm finished products are properly sealed
Qualifications:
Prior warehouse or manufacturing experience preferred
Experience working with pharmaceutical or food manufacturing a plus
Must be able to lift 60lbs
This is a physical, active position that requires standing, bending, lifting, carrying, kneeling, etc
Ability to work in a refrigerated environment
