Record key production data such as product counts, batch details, and equipment readings. Maintain accurate labeling, documentation, and tracking of finished goods. Sanitation & Maintenance Clean and sanitize machines, tools, equipment, and work areas on a regular basis. Maintain an organized, debris-free, and safe workspace throughout each shift. Perform routine cleaning and light preventive maintenance tasks to support equipment performance and longevity. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and all applicable quality standards. This role involves metal fabrication, including cutting, drilling, and punching, as well as welding (certification preferred but not required). The position requires cross-training across multiple production tasks to ensure seamless workflow and efficiency in the fabrication of door headers and other components. This role will be responsible for operating and maintaining machinery involved in the production of aluminum cans while adhering to safety, quality, and production standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Operate and monitor equipment such as can forming machines, presses, trimmers, liners, and other machinery involved in the can making process. Inspect finished cans for defects, ensure proper dimensions, and perform quality checks to maintain product quality standards. Handle raw materials required for can production. Load materials onto machines and monitor material supply throughout the production process. Set up machines according to production requirements, adjust settings as needed, and troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime. Assist maintenance technicians in performing routine maintenance tasks, cleaning equipment, and conducting minor repairs as needed. Optimize machine performance, minimize waste, and maximize production output while maintaining quality and efficiency standards. Adhere to safety protocols, use personal protective equipment (PPE), and follow safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members. Maintain production records, log equipment downtime, report quality issues, and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
