Production Operator IIPerforms a variety of tasks requiring knowledge of production processes and responsible for day to day operations associated with the production lines.
Essential Functions
Responsible for overall maintaining of a production line, including starting and stopping of all equipment (palletizers, carton makers, carton sealers, drop packers, injection, etc.) as applicable.
Ability to perform minor adjustments to production equipment as directed. No mechanical work is to be performed without prior approval.
Responsible for accurately completing and updating information forms and logs such as Machine Report, Quality Report, Downtime Report and Carton Top Load Report
Ability to recognize unsafe conditions and actions and follow plant safety rules including safe lifting practices and safe machine operations. Personal protective equipment is to be used where required.
Housekeeping: maintain general housekeeping in all areas of production, including the break rooms and rest rooms. Bale plastic, cardboard and contaminated bottles when needed; grind bottles when needed.
Raw materials: keep bottle caps, labels, cartons, trays, tray and pallet wraps (plastic rolls), pallet glue for hot melt tanks, slip sheets, etc. in adequate amounts to ensure continuous smooth running of equipment and operation.
Maintain quality requirements in accordance with company standards; accurately filling out hourly inspection sheets based on overall production quality. Responsible for recognizing and reporting all quality defects immediately.
Ability to work in multiple areas of production with minimal supervision; perform relief duties when required
Ability to troubleshoot minor production equipment issues in all areas and collaborate with maintenance team as necessary.
Understanding of computer systems such as Oracle/MES or current order management system
Comprehension of line flow and manufacturing process to maximize through put
Ability to communicate issues clearly and concisely
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
Ability to work 12 hour shifts, day or night, on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
You will focus on one of the following areas, and we plan to cross-train in the future so that you may work in any area. In the coating area, you may work as:
A Clipper, clipping and securing lenses into baskets to begin the coating process.
A Machine Operator, preparing and operating the coating machine to coat the lenses properly. This will include:
Loading machine chemicals.
Loading and unloading sectors with lenses.
An Inspector, inspecting lenses to ensure that they are optically and cosmetically accurate.
In finishing, you may work as:
A Beveler, utilizing the bevel wheel to remove the sharp edges of the lens.
A Mounter, inserting edged lenses to ensure proper fit and alignment, and inserting lenses into the frame while ensuring proper fit.
An Edger Operator, using variety of edging machines to cut lenses down to proper size and shape to fit the appropriate frame.
A Finish Layout preparer, readying uncut lenses for the edging process by outlining the center/alignment markings and affixing the chuck/block.
A Tinter, accurately tinting all lenses.
An inspector, checking lenses and frames to ensure quality standards are met.
In surfacing, you may work as:
A Surfacing Blocker, utilizing the blocking machine to accurately secure a block to all lenses going through the surfacing department. You'll operate taping equipment to apply protective tape to the front of the lenses.
A Surface Finer/Polisher, operating the equipment used to fine and polish all lenses going through the surfacing depart.
A Lens Washer, hand washing and drying lenses followed by a brief cosmetic inspection of the lenses. You'll grasp lenses with a de-blocking cup and strike it against the table to remove block from lenses, and also remove tape from lenses.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
To meet the basic qualification for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. To be a good fit for the Production Associate opportunity, you will have:

Must be able to regularly lift 10 pounds.

Job Summary: Our Sign Shop Production Operator and Installer work closely with our sales team, providing support with the goal of increasing sales and customer satisfaction.
Responsibility Overview:
Understanding of signage and graphics media and substrates.
Proficient use of sign production and finishing equipment.
Prepare substrates for application. This may include cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning, and maintaining the substrates for application.
Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images. Weeding techniques vary with size, type of vinyl, and complexity of the image. Know how and when to use each technique.
Perform quality assurance measures pre- and post-construction by accurately reading and interpreting a Work Order and then proofing for errors or unacceptable standards (bubbles, rough edges, loose seams).
Perform finishing operations such as laminating, encapsulating, and/or mounting printed pieces.
Install signs at customer locations as directed.
Operate the laminator while maintaining proper fit and settings.
Maintain a sufficient inventory of media, laminates, and substrates.
Maintain production rate consistency; meet or exceed established minimum rates per hour.
Skills we are looking for:
Valid driver's license/clean driving record is a must
Must be able to lift 50 lbs., work with power tools, and use a ladder comfortably
Presentable, dependable, reliable, and detail-oriented
Must be motivated, energetic, and able to problem solve on site
Skills desired, but not required:
Vehicle wrap installation experience is a plus.
Compensation: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

THE POSITION: Production Associate I
LOCATION: Main Building - Pompano Beach, FL

The Production Associate I produces components by assembling fabricated parts and subassemblies. This entry level position is responsible for general labor assigned by the line supervisor. Duties focus on daily labor, running equipment, and following written instructions. Assembles fabricated parts, components or units at floor stations. Uses hand tools and/or power tools to assemble units according to product specifications. Works under moderate supervision. Working as a Production Assembler I typically requires one to three (1-3) years of related experience.
Essential Job Functions of the position may include:
Performs a variety of basic production and assembly processes, ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations, .by following assembly work instructions
Operates various production machines and may use hand tools to assemble products
Receive training from Supervisor and other technicians in various disciplines (cross training) as needed.
Must follow procedures, methods and sequence of operations in performing daily tasks.
Ensure all product, material, parts, and documentation follow Company specifications and quality standards.
Actively contribute to ongoing continuous improvement efforts and projects.
Work under close supervision, on routine work and general duties.
Communicate constantly with supervisor and group lead, regarding issues that may come up on the production line.
Visually inspects parts to quality standards as described in the quality system
Communicates any problems which arise to the supervisor/lead person
Packs finished product as set forth by work instruction, including instructional sheets and any necessary hardware
Will be required to cross-train and rotate on a frequent basis
Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Previous experience in an assembly/production environment preferred.
Basic math skills with general knowledge of how to read a tape measure.
Able to stand for at least 8 hours a day.
Ability to use a drill or staple gun preferred.
Able to read and understand work orders and requirements.
Must be able to pay close attention to detail and stay focused on task at hand.
Must be able to read and write and communicate clearly with others.
Able to sort product by order numbers and the items per order.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds preferred. May team-lift up 50+ lbs. Work in a safe manner especially when lifting.
Must be honest, have a positive attitude, be respectful, dependable, have a proven record of reliability (2+ years at previous jobs).
May require 0-1 year of general work experience.

Key Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize production equipment, rooms, and tools in accordance with the Master Sanitation Schedule
Operate and monitor packaging equipment on the Liquid assembly line

Mix and blend raw materials to produce batches according to approved formulations and mixing instructions
Assist with receiving, organizing, and staging raw materials and supplies
Maintain a clean and organized production, warehouse, and office environment (including mopping, trash removal, breaking down boxes, and equipment sanitation)
Accurately document activities in Batch Production Records (BPRs), logs, and spreadsheets
Follow all cGMP, safety, and company policies at all time
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Valid Driver's License
Ability to work effectively and communicate clearly in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable adapting to frequent changes and shifting priorities
Previous experience in a warehouse or production environment preferred
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
