As
Director of Manufacturing
you will set policies and make decisions guiding productivity, quality, safety, and cost efficiency for the plant operations. You will identify and approve manufacturing plans and production schedules meant to increase profit while reducing overhead. Maintain a focus on the production workforce with goal of maintaining being a Best Place to Work.

What You'll Be Doing


Ensures robust plant safety and security procedures and training are in place and that operations are in compliance with all required training and regulations. Leads and directs plant operations through a team of subordinate managers to execute the HP 2.0 Production System w/ ownership - Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost (SQDC) Define and deploy manufacturing strategy with MFG Engineering team, Supply chain, Quality & Regulatory in line with HP Corporate Vision and Strategy Owns and drives a continuous improvement/lean strategy that will ensure best in class manufacturing operations and KPI's. Collaborates with Manufacturing and Lean engineering to identify manufacturing processes that will benefit from lean optimization and drives the implementation of identified changes. Develops and ensures manufacturing budget and forecasting achieves the financial objectives outlined by the HP strategy.
Review monthly financial performance against budget, cost, re-work, scrap - adjust accordingly Monitor day-to-day operations and processes and review against key metrics to ensure the efficiency of the manufacturing group including employee productivity and training. Modifies employee schedules or staffing plans to reduce labor costs while meeting output expectations Consistently models the Company Values and Expected Behaviors Other duties as assigned.


What We're Looking For


BA/BS in Engineering, Ops Management, or Business. Master's degree preferred. 15+ years exp in engineering, operations, and manufacturing environment - high mix/ low volume Experience in metal fabrication and assembly Minimum 5+ years of leadership in operations and multi-site plant management Successful in communicating with all levels within a matrixed organization as well as customer facing meetings. Demonstrated success in P&L management for business units > $300M revenue Experience and success in Lean, 5S, 6 Sigma, etc. to drive continuous improvement Effective problem solver and possess excellent ability to multitask. Ability to collaborate within a team environment, as well as work independently without management oversight in a fast-paced and dynamic environment is critical.

We are seeking a Director of Remanufacturing to strategically build and lead Lucid's world class remanufacturing organization. This is a dynamic role with significant responsibility and the opportunity to shape an important aspect of Lucid's growing global operations. Working in collaboration with internal stakeholders including Engineering, Service, Manufacturing, Quality and Logistics, you will develop scalable tools, processes and teams to ensure successful implementation of cost-effective part replacement/refurbishment programs for Lucid's Global Service Network. You will be required to strategically plan and execute the growth of the remanufacturing organization in alignment with Lucid's other business functions, seeking opportunities for continuous improvements as the program matures and scales globally.
The Role:Design, build and lead a world-class Remanufacturing team.Analyze, quantify and prioritize opportunities for maximum ROI through remanufacturing of HV battery packs and other high-value powertrain and vehicle components.Collaborate with key stakeholders across the company including Engineering, Service, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain and others.Recruit and hire outstanding talent to fill engineering, technician and operational roles.Drive implementation of quality standards and processes for remanufactured products.Develop processes, equipment and tools to ensure safe and effective operation.Review, analyze and plan for projected return rates to ensure efficiency of remanufacturing capacity and workflow Partner internally with our Field Quality, Reliability and Engineering teams to develop a scalable process for root cause analysis, documentation and quality improvements.Collaborate with Logistics, Supply Chain and Service to manage parts supply locations and develop processes and material management plans.Build effective relationships with internal and external suppliers.Collaborate with Logistics and Service teams to continuously monitor and determine the most efficient mode of transportation of materials and parts domestically and internationally.

• Owns and delivers the operational budget for PCB manufacturing/assembly, including safety, productivity, financial planning, labor planning, and operational goals.
• Responsible for providing strategic level/long-term planning (3, 6, and 12 months out) including labor planning, rate forecasting, and capital planning.
• Sets clear goals and expectations for PCB manufacturing/assembly. Measures performance, provides feedback, and holds leaders accountable.
• Drives creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives and other Lean initiatives to enable their functional area and ultimately the whole manufacturing team to meet and exceed business plan.
• Responsible for the overall safety, quality and performance and customer experience of all manufacturing. Will set and clarify requirements and expectations for Manufacturing. Measures performance, provides feedback, and holds Managers accountable for their performance and the performance of their departments.
• Leverages the Managers by sourcing and nurturing ideas and rolling them into the creation of improvement plans for the functional area.
• Takes proactive steps to ensure that best practices are shared across all departments, shifts and among MacroFab locations and the partner network.
• Works closely with support staff (PM, Materials, HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT and other leaders to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives, as well as providing needed support and resources for other initiatives.

Basic Qualifications

• A completed bachelor’s degree.
• 7+ years PCBA experience.
• Mycronic SMT machine experience, MY300, MY200 pick and place, MY700 jet printer
• Demonstrates a commanding knowledge of circuit board assembly process.
• 7+ years direct management experience, including a salaried workforce, in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment.
• 7+Experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques.
• 7+ Experience with the full staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and terminations.
• 7+Experience leading an operation comprising both salaried and hourly staff.
• 7+Experience successfully developing others into higher levels of leadership in an organization

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Operations or related field and MBA preferred.
• Experience & expertise with multiple SMT equipment brands.
• Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations.
• Interest in long-term career development through the growth of MacroFab.
• Bilingual (English & Spanish).
