Job Description
Duties:
Perform Corrective Maintenance on manufacturing equipment that includes automated fillers, bottle cappers, labelers as well as manual printers, centrifuges, ovens, distillers, chillers, vacuum systems, fermenters and similar equipment.
Perform Preventative Maintenance on site equipment and ensure all PM's are completed before due dates.
Identify and implement solutions for equipment and site safety findings.
Assist in design, development, build and management of new production equipment and processes
Design and implement hardware and software improvements to instruments, processes and equipment
Create or modify protocols for equipment or processes.
Maintain adequate spare parts on site for manufacturing equipment
Identifies solution and concepts for engineering problems.
Independently conducts engineering experiments; interprets results and presents findings to stakeholders and implement solutions.
Assist in conducting equipment validations.
Create layout design for new equipment transferring to site.
Planning and managing projects according to timeline and budget
Writing requirements and specification documents for new equipment and technologies
Travel to vendor and other ThermoFisher sites as needed (approximately 20% of the time).
Qualifications
Skills:
2-3+ years of equipment repair experience is required
Knowledge and experience of equipment automation, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, vacuum, fluidics and software are required.
Experience in Biotechnology Manufacturing is a plus.
Experience with instrument assembly, manufacturing, and testing
Experience building, assembling, wiring equipment
Experience with ISO 9001, 13485 and or GMP a plus
Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing is a plus

We are responsible for all optical engineering aspects of Neuralink surgeries, which includes working on our surgical robotics, supporting operating room equipment, and manufacturing custom consumables. The core device we work on is the robotic system that performs implant insertions. Job Description and Responsibilities:
As an Optical Engineer at Neuralink, you will develop custom optics and imaging systems used directly in our surgical robot and associated consumables-manufacturing systems. These systems impact everything from sub-micron conventional imaging and laser scanning imaging to non-imaging optical power delivery. You will have the opportunity to work closely with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers on the Robotics Team and collaborate with neuroscientists and biologists in the rest of the company. You will be responsible for designs from conception through to implementation as well as prototyping and building these optical systems quickly with the rest of the team. Designing and simulating optical imaging systems

Expected Compensation:
