Operational Excellence Engineer
As an Operational Excellence Engineer you will be responsible for driving operational excellence to deliver year-over-year improvements in cost and productivity. The Opportunity
The Eng II, Process Engineer is a position in the Technical Department supporting the Evadale Mill operations within the Mill Operations segment located in Evadale TX. The Eng II, Process Engineer will provide process optimization working directly with mill operations in driving projects for safety/environmental, quality, production efficiency, cost reduction. The individual will be assigned to lead or facilitate significant improvement projects within the Texas facilities or joint projects requiring collaboration with other business functions.
The role will typically have an operations area focus to support the KPIs for that given area but will also be engaged to participate and lead cross department and even cross division projects as assigned. Directs the installation and commissioning of mechanical seals and their auxiliary support systems.
Observes, collects, and evaluates customer data while working with the account manager and/or regional engineer. Then reports seal program's results utilizing John Crane's current reliability management software, e.g. ServiceMax.
Maintains John Crane's equipment survey. Communicates orally and in writing with customers, company personnel, and vendors while providing counseling, recommendations, and technical assistance. May include making technical presentations to customers or management with over site from the account manager or the regional engineer.
Provides customer training for maintenance and operations personnel as required. Assists customer with the Management of Change process. Collects new equipment data sheets from customer's project engineers for review by the account manager and/or regional engineer.
