In this role, you'll join Leo's Structural Integrity and Analysis team as a Liaison Engineer to innovate and solve engineering issues that arise during Leo production operations leading to every flight of our constellation of satellites. You will be working on the shop floor along side Manufacturing and Quality teams to develop engineering dispositions related to non-conformances. You will work hard, have fun, and make history! This Liaison Engineer must have Material Review Board (MRB) experience in aerospace programs, and must be able to understand the balance between engineering judgment versus analysis rigor and when each is appropriate. Key job responsibilities - This position will work 2nd shift, 3:00pm-11:30pm, Monday-Friday - Review and disposition non-conformance events of the spacecraft and its ground support equipment that may occur in all phases of the Leo operations: procurement, storage, handling, manufacturing, assembly, testing, transportation, final integration, launch and orbital operations; - Develop standard repairs, rework procedures, propose design for manufacturing (DFM) improvements, improved processes and work instructions; - Document static, dynamic and fatigue stress analyses when needed to support dispositions, interpreting established structural analysis reports; - Develop analysis methods to address common structural non-conformances; - Work with Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering experts to provide root cause failure analyses; - Interact with internal customers, external customers, and suppliers; A day in the life This Liaison/MRB Engineer will be providing engineering support to resolve engineering issues that arise during manufacturing and assembly processes, quality inspection and acceptance tests, through the application of engineering and design principles, consulting the engineering development teams as needed. About the team The Structural Material Review Board team is part of the Leo Structural Integrity and Analysis teams (Structural Analysis, Loads and Dynamics, Materials and Processes and Reliability) that is ultimately responsible for Integrity of not only the spacecraft but all other commodities supporting the program, inside and outside of the Mechanical Engineering group. Analyze technical and financial data, extrapolate notable variables, indicators, and trends. Proactively investigate, calibrate, and integrate broader market impacts into your portfolio of projects. Daily management of each assigned Solar project is all-encompassing. You are wholly responsible for delivering a technically feasibility, schedule appropriate, commercially supported, and financially viable project. Serve as development and permitting support, coordinate with and leverage subject matter experts, facilitate Engineering, actively engage in problem resolution, proactively manage your capital budget thru approvals, develop a viable construction plan/schedule, negotiate and execute on commercial contracts, investigate optimization opportunities. Support in the creation of, take ownership over, and actively manage not only each individual Solar project capital budget, but balance +/- variances across your portfolio of projects. Engage in a variety of software applications to support your activities, manage critical data and deliverables as well as report on key indicators. Support the larger Early-Stage team with process, tool, and training initiatives. Actively communicate and interface with Executive Leadership, Suppliers, Regulatory Agencies, Local Communities, and other stakeholders. The Molding Process Engineer reports directly to the Engineering Manager and will be responsible for the support of all internal moulding activities that include product development, validation, qualification and implementation of processes, methods and equipment. Strong process development capabilities are essential. Main Responsibilities Develop, validate, and optimize injection molding processes for new and existing medical products. Collaborate with tooling, quality, and production teams to ensure robust mold designs and process capability. Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for molding-related defects and process deviations. Support mold qualifications, including IQ/OQ/PQ protocols and documentation. Monitor and analyse process data to drive continuous improvement and reduce scrap and downtime. Specify and implement process controls to enhance molding performance. Maintain compliance with GMP, ISO 13485, and FDA requirements. Train operators and technicians on molding best practices and troubleshooting techniques. Participate in cross-functional teams for new product introductions and engineering changes. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Industrial, or Plastics Engineering or equivalent (5 years in relevant experience) Minimum of 3 years of experience within a Plastics/Polymer processing Experience with functioning in a highly regulated environment Strong understanding of Polymer technology and test methods Strong written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated experience in manufacturing medical devices using various manufacturing technologies Excellent process development capabilities Experience and proficient with Data Analysis, Root Cause Analysis and Statistical Method Application.
