What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

Proficiency in HVAC design tools (AutoCAD, Revit, Trane Trace, Carrier HAP) and BMS systems.

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes and systems to enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity. This position will play a crucial role in streamlining operations, reducing costs, and maintaining high product quality throughout the manufacturing process.
Essential Functions

* Provide technical support and problem-solving skills for the Manufacturing department to meet quality and quantity objectives.
* Review ECO's and implement new work instructions, tooling, and any training that might be needed for plant assembly.
* Investigate production problems to determine causes and to recommend corrective actions.
* Write work instructions for new manufacturing processes.
* Train supervisors and operators in accordance with work instructions.
* Initiate continuous improvement activities.
* Provide technical support for Maintenance personnel.
* Acting liaison between Manufacturing, Maintenance, QC, R&D, and Purchasing departments.
* Design Jigs and fixtures to aid in assembly processes.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

* Machine and fixture design experience.
* PLC Software (GE Proficiency Machine Edition) experience.
This is a full-time position, on-site at the manufacturing facility. The hours of work are Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. An occasional shift in hours may be necessary to accommodate business needs.
Work Environment/Physical Demands/Travel
This job operates in a professional business office or home office where standard office equipment is routinely used, such as computers, photocopy machines, fax machines, telephones and filing cabinets. In addition, this job also operates in a warehouse/manufacturing setting where various tools and equipment are used. This role must be able to stand, bend, stoop, kneel and exhibit good visual acuity to perform daily tasks.
This position must be able to lift 50 pounds at times. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.

Role Overview:
Intramotev is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Intern to join our engineering team, supporting the growing demands in the development of self-propelled rail vehicles. This paid internship role will offer hands-on experience in assisting with the development, documentation, and optimization of manufacturing processes, contributing to the efficient and high-quality production of our innovative autonomous rail vehicles.
This is a full-time, in-office paid internship for Summer 2026, based in St. Louis, MO.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist manufacturing engineers in documenting and improving existing manufacturing processes and procedures.
Support Design for Manufacturing (DFM) analyses by gathering data, preparing reports, and contributing to recommendations.
Participate in the evaluation and selection of manufacturing tools and fixtures.
Help collect and analyze manufacturing data to identify areas for process optimization, quality control, and cost reduction.
Collaborate with design engineering and other disciplines on manufacturing-related projects.
Assist in troubleshooting minor manufacturing issues and supporting corrective actions.

About You
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
This internship is open to students after completing their sophomore or junior years of school, as well as graduate students.
Previous internship, university research, or extra-curricular experience in a manufacturing environment or with manufacturing processes.
Basic understanding of manufacturing principles and processes.
Familiarity with CAD software.
Willingness to expand into technical areas beyond your area of expertise; ability to develop innovative and novel approaches.
Fluent in both written and verbal English.
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. CPT/OPT is supported.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Candidate should have a working knowledge of one or (ideally) multiple areas listed below:
Coursework or projects related to manufacturing processes, Design for Manufacturing (DFM), quality control, or industrial engineering.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience in directly applicable industry or projects, such as Rail, Electric Vehicles, Automotive, Aerospace, or Heavy Machinery.
Demonstrated experience working on project teams and collaborating with other engineering disciplines.
Typical Education and Experience:
