What we need to see:
B.S. degree, or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or material science
8+ overall years of equivalent experience and 2+ years of experience in leading or managing interconnect manufacturing activities, proven leadership track record.
Highly motivated, creative, proactive, and adaptable with excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills, ability to think outside of box, positive interpersonal skills, ability to lead multi-functional efforts.

About the role
The Head of Manufacturing will be one of Arinna's first technical leaders and a key contributor to the design and scale‑up of our coating processes. You will transform lab‑scale ink formulations into uniform, functional thin films that form the foundation of Arinna's photovoltaic architecture. Your work will center on developing and optimizing slot‑die, blade, and related coating methods for solution‑processed semiconductors and charge‑transport layers. You'll collaborate closely with materials and device teams to link film quality to photovoltaic performance and guide the transition from R&D to pilot‑line production.
What You'll Do
Develop, refine, and scale solution-based coating protocols (slot-die, blade, micro-gravure, etc.) for multilayer PV films.
Translate ink formulations into high-quality coatings with controlled wetting, drying, thickness, uniformity, and continuity.
Characterize thin films for their optical (UV/Vis, ellipsometry, etc.), electrical (4-point probe, Hall effect measurement, kelvin probe, IV, etc.) and physical (AFM, SEM, profilometry, etc.) properties to guide process optimization.
Study the influence of ink chemistry and rheology, substrate surface energy and ink wetting, drying kinetics, and post‑deposition processing on film continuity and performance.
Collaborate with device and materials teams to link material inputs and deposition parameters to photovoltaic metrics (Jsc, Voc, FF, stability, etc.). Help design and scale experimental setups - including deposition/drying systems (IR/convection drying, air-knife systems, and web handling, etc.) as well as film characterization systems.
Document process parameters, yield data, and continuous-improvement learnings in a reproducible framework.
Contribute to safety, workflow, and process documentation as Arinna scales toward pilot‑line production.
Qualifications
M.S. or Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Applied Physics, or related field.

About the role
The electron optics engineer is a hands‑on design role that will be directly involved with prototyping and production of precision beam transport systems for Atomic Semi's custom semiconductor tooling. In this position, you would be applying optical theory to the charged particle domain to evaluate design concepts, and then taking them from white board to reality. We are seeking candidates with experience rapidly prototyping components for complex systems, and a first‑principles mindset to analysis and design. Expect working through difficult design challenges, rapid iteration, lab experiments/collection of data, debugging hardware, and making exciting discoveries.
Responsibilities
Design, analysis, and bring‑up of electron‑optical systems and related equipment including electron sources, lenses, detectors, beam steering, vacuum chambers, etc.
Create innovative solutions utilizing novel electron optical techniques
Electrostatics simulation, mechanical design, high vacuum, ray optics analysis.
Gathering requirements for designs to facilitate successful bring up of new semiconductor tooling

Required Experience

You will work closely with the research, fleet, silicon, hardware health, and external vendors and partners to accelerate system qualification, increase deployment velocity, and improve platform and fleet robustness at scale. You will focus on detailed evaluation and systematic testing of early hardware, including servers, racks, NICs, switches, chips, optics, transceivers, and other lab prototype equipment.
