Job Duties: Analyze, recommend and implement process improvements by applying established operational standards. Position Summary We are seeking an innovative, organized, and detail-oriented Design Engineer to support the design and production of our metal fabrication projects. This role is key to ensuring drawing accuracy, data collection and updates, project tracking, and on-time delivery - as well as effective communication with production teams, clients, and suppliers. Responsibilities Create and release work orders for production and purchasing. Develop production drawings with tolerances and detailed notes, as well as fabrication drawings. Monitor the fabrication process to ensure quality and schedule compliance. Perform data collection and measurements on products inside and outside the plant as needed. Create 3D models of parts and assemblies. Collaborate with end users to define designs and provide effective solutions. Design, propose, and select appropriate materials for new projects. Prepare bills of materials (BOM) and sheet cutting lists. Assist in material quotations. Conduct analysis and closely track assigned projects according to committed deadlines. Organize and plan activities efficiently. Maintain direct communication with internal staff and suppliers.
