Requirements QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES 3+ years of experience developing manufacturing processes for machining, welding and/or electromechanical assembly. Experience with manufacturing processes to include CNC machining, paint, coating, plating, welding, heat treating, inspection and assembly. Detailed understanding of GD&T and experience interpreting detailed engineering drawings. Experience with project management responsibilities. 3+ years of experience in a defense/aerospace related job shop environment is preferred. BS in Mechanical, Quality, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering discipline or 5+ years of equivalent on the job training and experience. Proficiency in MS Office Products Demonstrated proficiency in Solidworks. Experience with SolidWorks and CAM software a plus especially CAMworks. FLSA: Non-exempt Job Duties and Responsibilities: • Learn to plan and design manufacturing processes. • Learn to implement manufacturing processes for new and existing firearm product designs while providing budgetary estimates for equipment, tools, gages, and production rates. • Use project management techniques to procure tooling and equipment for new products to meet launch timelines and cost targets. • Learn to evaluate and improve product designs for Manufacturability while applying GD&T and dimensional stack-ups. • Provide production floor support to maintain output and quality for technical systems and manufacturing processes including: • High volume CNC machining • Machine and Tool Design • Assembly • Metal finishing • Automation • Originate and develop new systems and processes and implement into full production. • Debug and runoff new capital equipment in order to meet plant goals for quality, throughput, and cost. • Recommend and implement alterations and enhancements to improve quality of products, and/or procedures, and the output and quality of manufacturing processes. • Resolve quality issues related to product and processes using statistical methods. • Provides consultation on problem solving teams and complete assigned tasks per agreed upon timelines. • Regular on-site attendance and punctuality is a necessary function of this position. • May be required to work in other functional areas and/or facilities depending on business needs. • May be required to work overtime or alternate shifts based on business needs. • Miscellaneous duties as assigned. Education/Experience & Skills: • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering. • Proficiency with SOLIDWORKS or similar CAD system. • Good working knowledge of materials and heat-treating processes. • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). • Must be organized, able to work in a team, plan, and execute multiple projects. • Written and verbal communication of complicated subjects is required. • Must be able to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. • Must have strong analytical skills, basic manufacturing process knowledge, and basic project management skills.
