The Retail Engineer - Store Operations' primary responsibilities are to update and maintain our engineered labor standards platform. In addition, identify and analyze key metric data alongside current store operational processes to support workload simplification and new initiatives. This job requires problem solving skills and strong analytical capabilities, along with data management and great communication skills.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities -
Primary responsibilities listed in order of importance
Compile and upkeep relevant datasets and information crucial to store operations such as Time Studies, Labor Standards, etc.
Become an expert in our labor standards platform (LaborPro) and ensure accurate inputs, maintenance, and application of the system.
Skilled in work measurement, standard data, and predetermined time systems and tools (MOST) with a focus on time study expertise.
Investigate store data and processes to identify trends, opportunities, and pain points and provide actionable recommendations.
Collaborate with field and store management to validate and react to trends and outliers by offering feedback and problem-solving solutions to ensure resolution.
Assist the Manager of Reporting & Analytics in monitoring store processes, building relationships with business partners, and creating tools and presentations.
Evaluate various labor scenarios and assess the impact of any changes.
Continuously improve processes from the backroom through checkout.
Display proficiency in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting information and proposing solutions within budget constraints.
Demonstrate the ability to interact effectively with various organizational levels and functions.
Identify areas of inefficiency and waste in process elements.
Create tools for analysis and modeling using MS Excel and PowerBI.

Job Requirements
A process engineer will implement, develop, and optimize production methodologies in the manufacturing operations of TE Connectivity. This engineer will be responsible for optimizing product flow through the factory though process optimization that may include tool /fixture selection, line layouts, ergonomic study, material presentation, and other relevant factors. He/She will interface with design, test, and quality engineering to solve problems, improve manufacturability, and implement continual improvement. He/She will sustain products with cost reduction and yield improvements. Responsibilities
• Develop expertise in manufacturing processes. Understand process capabilities through critical data analysis and in depth understanding of the product. Develop and modify line layouts, including material flow, waste reduction, and ergonomics, utilizing Lean Manufacturing best practices. Participate in the transition of a product from concept to pilot line production and into mass manufacturing.
• Analyze and optimize production processes to ensure safety while maximizing Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) in cost effective means while driving to achieve world-class quality levels. Champion continuous improvement projects (CIP) to maximize yield, capacity, and capability.
• Responsible for diagnosing issues found during the part manufacturing process and drive corrective action back to source, resulting in root cause identification and elimination. Utilize structured problem-solving techniques such as DMAIC, Ishikawa, Five Why (5W) and Eight Disciplines (8D).
• Analyze data from various sources to identify trends in build quality and efficiency. Develop robust and clear data collection, visualization, and analysis tools. Summary:
Our Fire Protection Project Engineers work with and support ACI's field operations on industrial projects. The Fire Protection Project Engineer will report directly to the Director of Fire Protection - New Construction Division, with the primary responsibility of ensuring our field forces have the materials, equipment and information necessary to effectively complete the scope of work. Essential Functions:
* The Fire Protection Project Engineer assists project management in the submission and review of permits, proposals, contracts, schedules and change orders
* Reviews specifications and drawings in preparation of subcontractor scopes of work and project tracking
* Understands contract documents and help identify scope gaps
* Prepares and distributes project RFI's and submittals and maintain subsequent logs
* Reviews vendor/supplier's submittals for conformance to contract documents and timely track the submittal process
* Manages project-specific materials and equipment purchases including: sourcing, maintaining vendor relations, ordering and tracking deliveries and receiving and processing invoices
* Assists project manager and procurement with the buyout process

The Role
Analyzes, researches, designs and develops materials and their related fabrication and application processes to develop and optimize materials for use in engineering design of and/or application in structures, systems and subsystems. Applies principles of chemistry, physics, and material behavior to develop metallic, non-metallic and composite material and processing specifications, fabrication and assembly processes. Develops, analyzes and applies material properties and design allowables, processing processes and quality engineering specifications. Material analyses may include failure analysis of components, systems and subsystems, life predictions, and definition and requirement specifications. May review and approve subcontractor material processing procedures.
The selected candidates will be expected to function as member of the NNS Additive Manufacturing (AM) team. In this capacity the candidate will support the development of AM material qualifications, perform AM material developments, develop prototype applications, support AM part fabrication, develop part build strategies, work with various AM alloys, exercise design for AM, and support other ongoing AM projects within the organization.
The primary efforts for this individual will be in support of AM producftion efforts at NNS, work with the US Navy, and in suppport of our industrial base. The representative may also conduct/coordinate interdepartmental and/or external research efforts and/or project management activities. Responsible for project execution including project plans, communication, internal/external customer briefings, technical reviews, test plan development, production support, and various other AM related activities.

Summary/Objective:
Our Project Engineer - MEP will work with the Project Managers (PM's) and Project Manager Assistants (PMA's) to provide leadership for our Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel project. Our Project Engineers interact daily with the field crews, customers, vendors, and subcontractors. A Project Engineers main objective is to make sure that all of our team members have the correct information and resources to be successful.
Essential Functions:
* A Project Engineer maintains project tracking reports to monitor productivity and labor utilization
* Creates and maintain internal project schedules
* Prepares complete, accurate and timely submittals for construction projects based on project drawings, specifications, and vendor information
* Tracks and receives approved submittals from architect or engineer and coordinates with Project Team
* Assists Project Manager and other Project Engineers by preparing all necessary back up relating to change requests
* Completes of all required project close-out documents per contract
* Updates and distributes contract documents to subcontractors, including drawings, specifications, and general conditions
* Schedules all required construction meetings with the ACI Team, our subcontractors, vendors and customers
* Attends pre-bid, project and closeout meetings
* Solicits subcontractors and suppliers for proposals prior to submission deadline
* Prepares correspondence with client, architect, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, etc.
* Submits building permit application, follows-up on review progress and receives upon approval
* Assists Project Manager to achieve quality, schedule, budget and safety
* Utilizes and maintains tools: schedules and documents management to track and record project performance
* Documents quality and progress of each subcontractor and suppliers and notifies of any changes to the plans, specifications and/or schedule
* Informs management of productivity, costs, quality control, document management and processing of applications for payment
* Notifies management of any issues that arise which affects quality, budget, progress and safety
* Performs other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibility: No
Required:
* Bachelor's degree in engineering field, and 2+ years of experience in a commercial construction environment; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Must be able to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize team performance
* Superior communication and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) skills are essential to this role
* Must be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail and demonstrate problem-solving skills
* Must adhere to all company policy and procedures
* Must be available to work assigned schedules

Work Environment:
* Works in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment
* Position may require visits to construction site
Physical Demands:
* This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopier, filing cabinets and fax machines
Travel:
* May require infrequent travel (typically not overnight)
Preferred:
* Experience as a Project Engineer on heavy commercial construction projects
* MS Project or other scheduling software tools
* 3D modeling experience (Revit, AutoCAD, Inventor, Navisworks)
* PDF Editing software (Bluebeam, Adobe)
* Familiarity with cloud based PM software
* Prior military experience
