The Manufacturing Lead is accountable for manufacturing GammaTile products efficiently, accurately, safely, and on time. This position provides daily direction and leadership to manufacturing technicians in their area of responsibility. This position also communicates effectively with their leadership the needs and capabilities of their area of responsibility. When needed, this position also operates manufacturing equipment and in-process instrumentation to manufacture regulated products in accordance with QSRs, company policy, applicable regulatory requirements, and safety regulations. Works on assignments that are routine in nature where the ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required. This position requires attention to detail and relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. The Manufacturing Lead identifies areas for improvement, uses good documentation practices and statistical techniques, and drives continuous improvement to the GammaTile platform. This position will mentor and coach Manufacturing Technicians.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
· Performs all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of GT Medical Technology's Quality system.
· Provides daily direction to team members of assigned area to ensure GammaTile products are manufactured on time according to all associated policies.
· Manufactures, assembles, and ships regulated products and sub-assemblies, including medical devices that are of radioactive nature.
· Operates production equipment within controlled environments.
· Maintains records in compliance with regulatory requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Standard Operating Procedures.
· Review timecards to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
· Supports with training and progression of team members.
· Monitors and escalates employee relations issues.
· Lead team meetings.
· Hold check-ins/one-on-ones with team members.
· Relies on instructions and pre-established written guidelines to perform job functions.
· Maintains organization and cleanliness of all designated manufacturing areas.
· Assists with in-process testing to assure batches meet specifications.
· Identifies opportunities to improve processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, materials, and parts.
· Assists with maintenance activities.
· Provides mentorship and coaching to Manufacturing Technicians.
· Embodies the Company's purpose and shared values, building a positive and productive team culture.
· Complies with Company policies and procedures.
· Follows all safety rules and safety precautions.
· Authorized to access employee and/or patient PHI and ePHI only as needed for job-related functions.

Requirements
Qualifications
High School degree or equivalent, Associate's degree in technical field preferred.
Minimum 5 years manufacturing/operations experience including a minimum of 1-year medical device manufacturing preferred.
Manufacturing experience and handling of radioactive materials in a radiation-controlled environment required.
Ability to effectively communicate tasks and instructions from management to Manufacturing Technicians.
Ability to operate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Ability to read and interpret Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
Must be able to perform basic mathematical functions using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
Must be able to compute averages, rates, percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in using Microsoft office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
Able to travel for work as needed.
Satisfactorily pass comprehensive background and drug screening.
Physical Demands/Working Conditions
Works in office space, supply room, laboratory, and/or clean room environments.
Frequent exposure to hazardous materials requiring appropriate PPE and precautions when working with hazardous materials and chemicals.
Requires frequent finite hand/eye coordination.
Largely a stationary role with some moving from place to place.

Hanford Tank Waste Operations & Closure (H2C) is the tank farm operating contractor at the Hanford Site located in Richland, WA. The H2C mission is to safely store, retrieve, and treat 56 million gallons of legacy radioactive and hazardous waste. This complex mission spans all competencies of engineering/science accomplished through a highly integrated engineering organization. Engineering at H2C supports all areas of the tank farm mission including Production Operations, Field Projects, Waste Feed Delivery Projects, Retrievals, and long term innovations.
Production Operations Engineering provides a variety of engineering services in support of the operation and maintenance of Integrated Tank Disposition Contract (ITDC) facilities and ensuring proper implementation of engineering requirements, including: developing inputs, assumptions and design criteria for tank farm facility modifications; administrating the System Engineering program and providing Cognizant System Engineering (CSE) and Shift Technical Engineer (STE) support to facilities; providing resident waste transfer and characterization technical expertise and facility knowledge in support of operability determinations, performance monitoring program, centralized resolution of Structures, Systems, and Components (SSC) performance problems; and providing Maintenance Engineering support.
H2C is seeking mechanical engineers responsible for providing engineering support to the AZ Team that is responsible for east area tank farms (A, AX, B, BX, BY, C, AN, AW, AY, AZ and 702AZ Facility) and ST Team that is responsible for west area tank farms (S, SX, SY, T, TX, TY, U) directly supporting the ITDC facilities and H2C Engineering. Duties of the mechanical engineer typically include design, analysis, testing, control, operation, monitoring, and maintenance of mechanical and ventilation systems.
The specific engineering duties will include the following:
* Obtain and maintain engineering Technical Staff qualification and Design Authority qualification for assigned systems
* Engineering support to nuclear and/or non-nuclear mechanical systems, exhaust ventilation systems, HVAC systems, facility equipment and instrumentation, and control systems
* Define and maintain ITDC System technical baseline documents and design change documents
* Monitor and trend system performance and reliability for assigned systems and participate in Plant Health Committee meetings covering system health and corrective action reporting

The Process Engineer works closely with the Whey Production Manager and Process Technologist to support the New Product Development group, and with the plant maintenance and engineering team to enhance profitability and growth by reducing operating costs and downtime.
Here's a day in the life:
* Own the engineering of the cheese, and powder production processes from milk receiving to cheese block formers, through WPC-80 and lactose manufacturing finished packaging.
* Collaborate with the Sales amp; Marketing teams to lead feasibility studies for new products.
* Evaluate, research and develop new/alternate materials, process methods, equipment and technologies.
* Provide technical support when growth, modernization and expansion occurs in cheese, and whey production and processing capacity to meet market demands with state of the art systems.
* Develop and implement processes, procedures, and methodology to improve efficiencies and quality of dairy products produced.
* Collaborate with Production, R amp;D, Quality and Finance to define expected operational success criteria and operational costs for proposed projects.
* Specify pumps, valves, and instrumentation in collaboration with the engineering automation team.
* Preparation of the RFP including clear statement of work, project success criteria, process flow diagram, equipment specifications, FAT expectations, and T amp;Cs adequate to support accurate vendor proposals.
* Verify performance of new equipment and process installations.
* Lead resolution of vendor technical performance issues with new equipment or processes.
* Provide design and operational oversight for utility systems and critical production and utility equipment.
* Provide technical support for maintenance when requested.
* Develop and track performance and maintenance of large rotating equipment such as centrifuges, fans, and compressors.
* Initiate, plan and lead capital and non-capital maintenance and equipment projects to ensure timely and cost-effective achievement of project objectives.
* Manage small to mid-sized capital improvement projects.
* Large project team member / SME (subject matter expert)
* Project regulatory compliance (ODA, USDA, FDA, SQF, PSM/RMP)
* Mandate adherence to all safety guidelines and work to provide a safe work environment for all employees.

* Solves moderately complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
* Demonstrates design capabilities in specification, verification, and calculation of fluid and thermal based processes
* Utilize a computer with intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
* Professional Engineer license preferred.
* Bachelor's or higher degree in engineering, chemical, mechanical or technical discipline or equivalent relevant work experience.
* 5+ years food or beverage manufacturing processes.
* Have experience with the following: Mass balance process flows and calculations, heat exchange (conceptual, theoretical, & applicable), and food or dairy packaging experience.

Provide support in the assessments of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) progress for the WTP HLW systems in the baseline and DFLAW configurations.
Assist with oversight of Performance Oversight Specialists' efforts to address findings, including monitoring and reporting on any improvements in Performance Oversight Specialist's Assurance Program, extent of condition reviews, and issue resolution efforts.
Provide WTP Performance Assurance support to the Assistant Manager WTP (AMWTP), Deputy AMWTP, and Division Directors, for management assessments, action tracking and record management.

Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria. The Performance Oversight Specialist shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner. The H2C Chief Technology Office (CTO) seeks a Scientist/Engineer to facilitate developing innovative technology solutions for tank farm and RPP mission challenges. Devise, develop, and assist in implementing new technical and programmatic options that have the potential to improve the effectiveness of, and mitigate risks to, the overall RPP mission. This position may involve assignments across multiple aspects of the tank waste treatment mission. Technology areas this position may address include waste sampling and analysis, liquid/solids slurry transport, filtration, ion exchange, evaporation, vitrification, and cementitious solidification/immobilization of waste. The scale of technology maturation activities may range from laboratory bench scale to engineering/field scale. This role requires sufficient technical credibility and experience to act as an "intelligent customer" for H2C in its interactions with external research bodies such as national laboratories, universities, research institutes and other technology providers. This work requires the ability to establish and perform in multi-discipline, cross-functional teams to plan and conduct technology maturation activities, analyze, and interpret testing results, and manage product deliverables from national laboratories and technology providers.
The Scientist/Engineer will:
* Support development, evaluation, and analysis of strategies for effectively managing waste at Hanford.
* Manage scope, schedule, and budget for subcontracts with national laboratories, contract laboratories, and other technology providers.
* Coordinate technical and programmatic aspects of assigned scope with internal and external organizations.
* Work in an organizational team that encourages innovative solutions and technology development.
* Support developing technical and programmatic solutions that enhance the efficiency of the RPP mission
* Interface and develop relationships with H2C management, DOE, national labs, contractors, and universities
* Perform technology assessments, evaluations, and alternatives analyses
* Manage technology maturation projects that address specific needs and requirements
* Identify, select, and manage technology and research providers (e.g. national labs and lab teams)
* Lead and provide technical oversight of subcontractor performance and deliverables
* Negotiate challenging yet realistic deliverables for subcontractors
* Perform in-depth technical reviews of laboratory and technology provider deliverables
* Participate on task specific issue resolution teams to mitigate mission risk and enhance mission efficiency
* Provide technical input to engineering evaluation studies that support RPP mission objectives
* Support development and presentation of mission enhancing proposals to senior corporate and DOE management
Required Qualifications

Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline; and

Desired Qualifications
* Experience in technology evaluations, cost/benefit studies, risk management, or flow sheet development.
* Experience in the nuclear industry (commercial, international, or DOE), technology development, or technology deployment experience.
* Working knowledge of nuclear waste management programs both in the US and internationally.
* Knowledge of DOE projects and experience with project execution in the DOE environment.
* Familiarity with DOE projects and Hanford Tank Farms, familiarity with the WTP.
* Knowledge of basic unit operations supporting waste treatment (e.g. filtration, ion exchange, , evaporation, vitrification, grout stabilization).
* Knowledge of Hanford waste characteristics and processes that generated the waste.
* Proven experience in the field of technology development and deployment.
Compensation & Benefits
In accordance with the company's philosophy on compensation for exempt and salaried non-exempt employees, H2C takes into consideration a variety of factors when determining initial grade and salary to include assigned job scope and responsibility, a candidate's qualifications as compared to internal comparators performing in a similar role, and the external labor market. A salary offer will be made at the appropriate grade level and within the targeted hiring range posted according to these factors. Note a candidate's prior salary history will not be taken into consideration.

Hiring Range Maximum: $122,113

Modeling & Simulation: Perform steady-state and dynamic simulations using industry-standard tools (e.g., WindMil, CYME, Synergi). Develop and maintain distribution system models and perform scenario analyses to support planning decisions
Communication & Documentation: Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for internal stakeholders and regulatory filings

Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
