Responsibilities + Perform SolidWorks conceptual and design activities as needed. + Design and maintain system 3D models and drawing packages. + Maintain relationships with customers and provide updates on project schedules, status, and organize meetings. + Assist with customer site visits, onsite service, installation, and other customer project-related tasks. + Update and create operation manuals for software, equipment operation, and general operator interface as needed. + Assist with mechanical assembly, debugging, troubleshooting, and testing as required. Essential Skills + Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or at least 4+ years of industry experience. + Strong knowledge of mechanical designs, tolerances, stack-ups, and FEA analysis. + 4+ years of experience in concept and design of turnkey fully automated solutions. + 4+ years of experience in tooling and fixture design. + 3+ years of experience using SolidWorks with an 8+/10 proficiency level. + 2+ years of experience in mechanical assembly, debugging, troubleshooting, and testing. + 3+ years of experience incorporating motion products, pneumatics, robotics, machine vision, parts feeders, weldments, and tooling. + 3+ years of experience designing and maintaining system 3D models and drawing packages. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Automation design and SolidWorks proficiency. + Experience with 3D models, tooling, and fixtures. Work Environment The position is located in a brand new facility in Gilbert with onsite manufacturing focusing on robotics and automation for OEMs across various industries. The team consists of approximately 40 professionals, mostly engineers. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tempe, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/hr.
