KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
Oversee core accounting operations, including accounts payable (A/P), accounts receivable (A/R), banking transactions (daily reconciliations, funds transfers, ACH/wire setup and approvals), and general ledger maintenance.

Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities; evaluate spending trends and recommend efficiencies.
Ensure compliance with sales tax filings, excise tax reporting, insurance renewals, and regulatory requirements.
Document key financial processes for consistency, scalability, and audit readiness.
Lead collections on aged receivables, resolution of past-due payables (including vendor coordination for missing invoices), and cleanup of historical misapplications.
Collaborate cross-functionally on ERP utilization (Acumatica), financial reviews, and strategic projects.
Manage and mentor 1-3 accounting staff and respond to internal/external financial inquiries.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CMA strongly preferred.
7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 3 years as a Controller or similar role in a manufacturing company ($20M-$60M revenue ideal).
Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, cost accounting, and internal controls in a manufacturing setting.
Proficiency in ERP systems (experience with Acumatica a plus), advanced Excel, and financial modeling.
Proven ability to manage full-cycle accounting, improve processes, and deliver accurate, timely reporting.
Experience with banking operations (ACH/wires, reconciliations), payroll, sales/excise tax compliance, and insurance administration.
Excellent analytical skills with a track record of driving profitability insights and cost reductions.
Strong communication skills to present financial data clearly to executive and operational teams.
Thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented "100-year startup" environment.

This role offers the opportunity to work hands-on with cutting-edge technologies applied to real agricultural machines and environments.
This role emphasizes applied software development while spanning domains such as robotics, computer vision, sensing, controls, data analysis, and embedded systems. The engineer will work on interdisciplinary projects that integrate software with physical agricultural platforms, off-road vehicles, and mobile equipment, enabling data-driven decisions in challenging, real-world environments.

Key Responsibilities include:
Design, develop, and maintain software for embedded, robotic, and cyber-physical systems using languages such as MATLAB/ Simulink, Python, and C++
Develop software that integrates sensing, perception, controls, data processing, and actuation on mobile and vehicle-based platforms.
Work with sensor data (e.g., vehicle telemetry, imaging, environmental data) for analysis, visualization, and decision making
Assist with the design of custom electronic control systems, software, and integration of electrical, mechanical, and fluid power components commonly used on agricultural and off-road equipment
Utilize engineering and development tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, CANoe, NI LabView, DEWESoft, and CAN/Ethernet communication protocols
Participate in the full software development life cycle, including requirements, system design, implementation, testing, and documentation
Contribute to project planning and execution through Agile or iterative development methods.
Summarize results and communicate outcomes with internal and external stakeholders
As an experienced member of the team, the engineer will independently manage deliverables within complex, externally funded projects and contribute technical expertise across multiple areas of system design and development. This role will also provide leadership in project planning, execution, and communication with industry partners, equipment manufacturers, and academic collaborators.
The successful candidate will have strong problem-solving skills and ability to work across disciplines; demonstrate the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment; effective written and verbal communication skills; complete projects within a specified timeline; meet project design criteria; communicate effectively and provide technical leadership to design team members; and ensure a safe working environment for project staff.
Although this is a term position, it is expected to offer long-term opportunity, with the option for renewal.
