The individual will be a shop assistant with the following responsibilities: Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools. Understand company product lines, machinery, assembly standards, and installation techniques. Follow quality and safety standards. Maintain shop equipment according to an established schedule. Machine Operator Assistant's role is to help keep the department running efficiently by staging work for the machines and by caring for the machine fluids (lubricants and coolant). Job Responsibilities: Maintain cleanliness of wash area (i.e. mop floors, change solvents in tanks) and ensure all wash materials used have been replenished at the end of each shift. Maintain machine fluid inventories (lubricants and coolant) Fill machines with oil Fill coolant wagons Perform machine coolant changes Material handling responsibilities.
