Summary
This position supports plant production operations by covering a wide variety of tasks which require some basic training and direction by the supervisor. These tasks may occur in any area of the plant, or on occasion, may require working in raw product storage or potato fields.
Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
Operate simple equipment including powered pallet jack and tote bin dump.
Perform the set up and breakdown of tote bins and pallets within the plant.
Fill, rake and move tote bins.
Properly stack knocked down totes and pallets.
Repeatedly lift and stack cases of finished product as assigned.
Maintain good housekeeping in assigned area including, but not limited to: sweep, shovel potatoes, rake, vacuum, hose, scrape/scrub, paint, pull vines, shovel snow or sand as directed
Rework damaged or restricted cases and bags of product
Clean, sanitize, and rinse production and packaging equipment during plant clean up.
Work on painting projects.
Perform any other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently.
Exposed to a noisy environment that varies from hot to cold in temperature
Exposure to manufacturing environments for up to 12 hours per workday to include: loud noise, excessive heat, cold, wet, slippery conditions, dirt, fumes, smoke, smells and allergies
Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements required for job actions and procedures.
Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment.
Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties. Ability to operate work related equipment
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Exposed to temperatures ranging from -20 degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Freezer Operation and 37 degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Plant Operation.
May have to sample food while evaluating Lamb Weston products.
Climbing to various heights via stairs or ladders on a regular basis.
Basic & Preferred Qualifications
Education/ Certifications:
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
Lock-out/Tag-out, Powered pallet jack, and Sanitation certification are required. If you are not qualified, you will be trained and must meet certification requirements.
Skills and Experience:
Effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing. Ability to understand instructions and follow directions in English, both written and oral.

Job Summary:
