About The Opportunity
The General Laborer will assist the operators at various machine centers throughout the plant during the shift and fill in for partner coverage when they are out due to illness, a leave of absence or on vacation.
The General Laborer will operate a variety of machines, including flexographic press, die-cutters, slitters, folder-gluers, corrugator, etc. Job tasks may include, but not limited to: collating, stripping, bundling, handwork and pack outs. About the Role:
The General Labor role at the South Beloit location provides support to the Production team, driving and supporting key initiatives to improve performance throughout the plant. You'll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:
Efficiently package individual cookies into the proper tray, hand pack cases according to established case packing configurations.
Recognize product quality issues and notify your Line Lead, Supervisor or any of member of management. Sort out and discard substandard product.
Assist with change overs in an efficient manner according to the production schedule. Understand and comply with the allergen policy.
Follow and promote all safety policies. Assist with training of employees.
Perform all duties necessary to meet Safe Quality Food (SQF), Company, and/or Regulatory requirements/standards as prioritized by the Company.
Report any Food Safety or Food Quality concerns to the appropriate personnel, as well as, follow quality and safety programs policies/procedures themselves in order to ensure products made here meet the highest standards possible.
Important Details: We are currently interviewing for future job openings in various different shifts. The positions will be full-time permanent 12hr shifts days and nights. Shift differential included for the night roles.
