What Does A Manufacturing Lead Technician Do At Amazon.Com

* Together with the broader Automotive and Manufacturing team, helps develop the strategic plan for AWS, particularly the technical elements of the strategy and plan to engage customers and partners
* Responsible for understanding the use cases for the Automotive and Manufacturing industry and developing the AWS-based technical solutions that address those needs.
* This includes use of, and/or integrations with, third party solutions as well as developing reference architectures that highlight the use of AWS services in partnership with internal and external teams
* Responsible for ensuring that the broader technical community (SAs, ProServe Consultants, TAMs, etc.) understand both the use cases and technology involved across Automotive and Manufacturing.
* Works with the Training and Sales Enablement teams to help develop the necessary technical skills and knowledge within the community, in order to help the team be effective in sales cycles.
* Responsible for establishing technical credibility in sales cycles (personally or with the broader technical team), and can credibly drive discussions with CTOs, CIOs, Chief Architects, Senior Developers, etc. from both customer and partners across Automotive and Manufacturing industry.
* Demonstrates thought leadership in the Automotive and Manufacturing space, and is able to credibly represent us at industry events, conferences, symposiums, etc.
* The right person will be highly technical and analytical, and will be capable of understanding the complexities of large Automotive and Manufacturing enterprise IT environments.
* Must have 7
* years of experience in senior technical leader positions within the Automotive and Manufacturing industry, and enterprise solutions selling experience

* Uses ability as a skilled specialist to contribute in development of concepts and techniques, and to complete tasks in creative and effective ways.
* Will mentor less skilled support staff.
* Incumbent will be required to make process decisions, including the trouble shooting of equipment, corrective action to process deviations.
* Individual will be required to understand operations and contact appropriate support to ensure issues are appropriately resolved.

* Trained and certified in the majority of current in-house process work instructions
* Certified and has the ability to train to at least 5 in-house certifications
* Creates build book requests, administer discrepancy notices
* Demonstrates and assists in establishing standards for flight hardware handling
* Included Previous Level Responsibilities:
* Certified and maintains certification in three or more NASA standards (8739

* Can discuss and assist in scheduling process work with Manager or Lead Technician
* Perform skilled electrical testing
* Becomes trained and certified in twenty or more in-house process work Instructions
* May assist in creation and verification of flight tooling
* Suggests and develops preliminary revisions to manufacturing travelers and in-house process work instructions
* Perform manufacturing and production activities according to NASA space standards in the areas of: mechanical and electrical assembly, soldering, resistive welding, insulative coating, epoxy application, crimping and wire harness assembly
* Understands and utilizes electronic management systems for data storage and program documentation retrieval
* Ability to read, comprehend, and work effectively with mechanical drawings and documentation including bills of materials, assembly drawings, work instructions, and equipment travelers
* Experience in working in clean room environments, under ESD protections, and stored energy safe practices
* Ability to travel within the U
* S. for one to several weeks at a time
* Understands and implements aerospace best practices, meets quality requirements, and space-flight work habits
* Assists Test technician in testing of hardware
