* Follows, without exception, all work instructions and safety rules, including use of all equipment - complies with OSHA, GMP, and EPA regulations while working in production.
* Understands basic monitoring of assigned equipment including start-up, shut-down & lockout/tag-out procedures for equipment responsibilities.
* Participates in the general housekeeping of plant and work area.
* Demonstrates a willingness to assist co-workers in areas outside of their direct responsibility.
* Consistently meets production goals, ensures the accurate and timely completion of production orders.

What Does A Manufacturing Operator Do At Coca-Cola Bottling Company Consolidated

* Consult with supervisor and/or line lead (as appropriate) to schedule operator breaks and other work assigned.
* Operate/Monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality product and minimal unplanned stops.
* Accurately and efficiently perform steps necessary to conduct flavor/package changes and proper shut-downs to minimize down-time wasted resources.

* You will perform basic visual and/or physical in-process testing to insure high quality standards are met.
* You will have the opportunity to rotate among stations within work center/department and may be assigned to more complex tasks, as needed, to facilitate cross training and to cover department/work center needs.
* Your ability to work from blueprints, diagrams, and process sheets will help you to determine set-up procedures, equipment and materials needed, assembly process, safety precautions, cycle time and related requirements.
* In this role, you must demonstrate proficiency in soldering, using RTV's and epoxies.
* You may work with basic chemicals in performing assembly detail as well as use simple machinery to prepare component parts for further assembly.
* You will work with a diverse group of people and positive and enthusiastic attitude will aid you in assisting higher-level Assemblers in more complicated assemblies or final production, as needed.
* Likewise, your ability to diagnose faulty operations, product imperfections, and/or equipment malfunctions will enable you to work with technical and supervisory personnel to resolve discrepancies.
* Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate inventory count of completed work as well as monitoring work and insuring requirements are being met with regard to schedule, quality and quantity.
* You may package component parts or assemblies for shipment, insuring protection from potential shipment damage and that all necessary parts and instructions are present

* Understand the departmental water cooling system.
* Accurately monitor and control resistance and induction heated furnaces.
* Use gas cylinders.
* Pull samples for analytical testing and use computer for sample submission
* Use spreadsheet software to record and chart data.
* Download and print data from given chart recorders.
