As a Cashier: You have the responsibility of making each guest know they matter to us by greeting them energetically and with a sincere "Hello, welcome to Papa Gino's/D'Angelo's . You will ensure that each guest gets exactly what they want by politely listening, suggesting items, repeating back their order and being knowledgeable of the menu and the ordering system. This is a key role in the restaurant because you are trained to be efficient in processing orders but need to bring your natural, friendly personality to the forefront to make each guest feel special. Handling credit cards, rewards cards and cash takes focus and precision. Which is why each cashier is trained thoroughly prior to being independent. The majority of this role is performed in refrigerated and freezer environments, and candidates must be comfortable working for extended periods in cold conditions while maintaining accuracy, focus, and food safety standards.
