Rotate between stations as needed to maintain an efficient workflow. Prepare and code packaging materials: Label, code, and stock packaging supplies (boxes, pouches, bags) for daily production runs. Verify codes for accuracy before use. Stock and organize supplies: Restock materials throughout the day to keep the production line running smoothly. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Move and track inventory: Transfer finished goods and raw materials between production, cold storage, and the warehouse while following inventory control procedures. Sanitation and cleaning: Complete daily, weekly and monthly cleaning tasks, including sanitizing work areas, tools, and equipment. Handle cleaning chemicals safely and follow all sanitation SOPs. Palletize and store finished goods: Stack and wrap pallets of finished products for freezer storage or shipment. Conditions vary depending on location. * Work may be performed in one or more of the following locations: Sheep Center located off the main Corvallis campus on NW Oak Creek Drive or at the Campus Way Sheep Barns. * Work may also be outdoors or in a laboratory. * Employees may be exposed to noxious odors, infectious diseases, gas anesthetics, loud noises, wet and slippery floors, and machinery. * Employees may be exposed to extreme and inclement weather conditions. * Employees may need to maneuver up to 50 lbs. and may be required to stoop, bend and kneel on hard floors as necessary to provide care for animals. * Flexible hours as needed to complete experiments/projects or care for the animals.
