The manufacturingtechnician is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting automated systems within the plastic injection molding operation. This role ensures automation equipment, robotics, and supporting electromechanical systems operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime. The manufacturingtechnician works closely with Maintenance, Engineering, and Production teams to support continuous improvement and reliable manufacturing processes.
Essential Functions:
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automation systems supporting plastic injection molding machines.
Support and maintain industrial robots, including basic programming, setup, and adjustments.
Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.
Diagnose and resolve issues related to electromechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
Perform preventive maintenance on automated equipment to ensure consistent uptime and performance.
Assist with automation startups, changeovers, and process improvements.
Identify root causes of automation and machine failures and recommend corrective actions.
Ensure automation systems meet safety, quality, and production standards.
Document maintenance activities, repairs, and system changes as required.
Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to optimize automation performance
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
I. Education and certifications
Required: High School Diploma
Preferred: Technical degree or certification in Automation, Robotics, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Electro Mechanical Technology, or Automated Manufacturing Systems.
II. Work experience
Required: Prior training or hands-on experience in robot programming (3-axis cartesian and 6-axis robots (ABB, Fanuc, kuka), collaborative robots(UR).
Preferred: Experience troubleshooting mechanical systems, heating circuits, servo motors and Mechanisms. Experience with plastic injection molding automation (part removal, conveyors, vision systems, EOAT).
III. Job skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills; effective teamwork and organizational abilities
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and proactively
Ability to meet project schedules, along with contingency plans within budget
Demonstrated creativity and ability to propose alternative methods.
Ability to analyze and interpret complex documents, drawings, and technical data.

Familiarity with PLCs, sensors, drives, and basic HMI interaction
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); SolidWorks experience preferred.

Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving equipment, noise, and temperature variations.

Quality Technician

Are you detail-oriented, organized, and enjoy being part of a team that keeps production running smoothly? We're looking for a Quality Technician to support our Quality team by ensuring parts, gauges, and documentation meet our high standards.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in accuracy, and values teamwork in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do
Perform in-process and final inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, CMMs).
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T symbols, and specifications.
Document inspection results accurately and maintain quality records per company and customer requirements.
Identify nonconforming material and initiate appropriate containment, tagging, and documentation.
Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) related to quality issues.
Assist with first article inspections (FAI) and setup approvals.
Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and work instructions.
Communicate quality issues clearly and professionally to operators, supervisors, and quality leadership.
Assist with internal audits, customer audits, and quality system activities as needed.

Position Overview:
The Manufacturing Engineering Technician provides ongoing, direct technical support to assembly production processes, having responsibility to support day-to-day production activities while also meeting Mercury's Safety, Quality, Delivery and Productivity goals.

Essential Functions:
Serve as a technical resource supporting assembly operators and production operations
Provide ongoing ‘first responder” style technical support for assembly processes and production equipment, to maximize efficiency and support daily production goals
Review production schedules, engineering specifications, process flows and other information to understand the manufacturing methods and activities
Engagement in current production activities, providing troubleshooting support to process and equipment related issues causing downtime and loss of production output
Active participant in Safety and Ergonomic activities in support of providing a Safe and healthy working environment for all team members
Use Lean Six Sigma (LSS) tools to drive continuous improvement of processes
Work cross functionally with Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production, Quality and Maintenance teams to address issues as they arise
Provide updates to process documentation as required
Provide detailed cross shift communication
Assist with training and on-boarding of new assembly line team members
Diversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.
Required Qualifications:
High School Education
Minimum 3 - 5 years' relevant work experience
Ability to apply industry standard practices and techniques in specific situations
Have general knowledge of tooling, fixtures, gauge design and build as well as other equipment associated with a manufacturing environment
Ability to read and interpret blueprints as well as other associated Mercury and industry standards
Ability to train and become a Certified Green Belt
PC skills including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Good communication skills both written and oral
Strong work ethic - positive attitude, adaptable, flexible, perform with sense of urgency, high integrity, dependable and responsible, self-motivated
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize projects
Ability to interact and communicate with different functions & various levels of employees
Quality mindset, willing to communicate product quality issues and concerns
Preferred Qualifications:
2 year Technical Degree in Process Engineering or related manufacturing field
Basic understanding of engine assembly processes
Formal Lean Six Sigma Yellow / Green belt certification
Self-motivated, self-directed, results-oriented, and capable of working independently within deadlines
The anticipated pay range for this position is 53,100 to 83,800 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job- related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate's qualifications and the business context.
